The alphabet belts are only worth something as bargaining chips, Haye has said as much himself.

As everyone keeps saying, if Haye does continue on the WBA 'circle jerk' then he will lose the respect of all his fans (or if he loses to Ruiz.) But with all this **** chatting I would be surprised if we haven't seen him fight one of the Klitschkos by the end of 2010. If we don't then he will go down as a joke. So really it's tough to judge him until the end of 2010 - however, I can see why a lot of people have already decided he's a ducker... as the evidence hardly looks great.

One thing that I think can always be credited to so many British fighters is that they may not always be the greatest, but they want to have a go proving that they are. Hatton fighting PBF and Pac, Froch taking part in the Super Six, Khan wanting to 'dominate' the LW division. There's every chance that it ends in tears, but all we want to see is our fighters getting out there and trying.

You never talk cold, hard cash.

Maybe I've not been paying attention.

What were the financial terms of the deal?

I read that Haye has earnt upwards of £7m as a result of his fight against Valuev.

Did the Klitschkos offer close to or better than that?

Some of the quotes from Haye's BBC interview are absolute classics:

'They may be big in Switzerland, but so are yodellers, and nobody wants to watch them fight.'

'Heavyweight title fights should be huge events, not an after-thought in a country most famous for producing Toblerones.'

Bottom line - Haye is an *******, personality-wise, business-wise and regarding sportsmanship. Basically in any aspect of anything whatsoever. That's why his co-assholes like him. Case closed.

The difference is he will get paid. There is little chance of him losing to anyone the WBA throws at him, and the only person he HAS to face is Ruiz (who is dog****). In 2010 he will fight at least 1 of the brothers

Cuckoo clocks and bank vaults have to be up there too, in fairness.

So, where exactly was HIS big heavyweight title fight ? In a city known for their bratwursts, which is not even a big city in GERMANY. The Klitschkos fought 5 times in Vegas, 4 times MSG New York, 3 times Staples Center Los Angeles and twice in Atlantic city. All the time in sellouts with 10,000 to 61,000 spectators. When Marvin Gaye "fights", he gets 3000 paying spectators in his own backyard in London, or 8000 germans showing up in bratwurst city.

Yeah, he has all reason to bark around, while hiding behind excuses when it's about actually FIGHTING at heavyweight. He lowballed one name fighter after the other, without even calling them to tell them they're out, and ended up taking Monte Barrett for 15 pound foodchecks.

In 2010, he will fight boredom, common sense, class, sportsmanship, sanity, and John Ruiz, but definetly not one of the Klitschlos. Or anyone else with a pulse.

my fave quote from Mr. Haye was about Fwank Warren and his fixation with Haye:'he reminds me of girls who used to chase me around in clubs, except with a redder face, beadier eyes and a deeper wallet'
