Educate Me !!! Who had/has the best Chin???

Got to agree with all of anacri's list; for me esp eubank, johnson, MAB morales,chi, marciano, holyfield, maybe of todays fighters vitali, toney. I dont want to side track, but what do people think of mayweathers chin?

 

I've seen him hit pretty well by a good puncher...but still not enough to go on. It has to be at least okay but it's really very much a guess.

 

I just want to point out sarcasm because there really are people dumb enough to take those last guys seriously.

 

Well one thing is im sure its stronger than his uncle Rogers,but my guess is that it is at least average,but we have no way of knowing if its good. Some slick fighters end up having good chins and some dont Ali and Whittaker are fighters that were hard to hit but ended up having good chins. I think jones probably always had a bad chin just to fast in his prime to really find out. Benitez had maybe an average chin. Robinson had a great chin. Pep got kod a few times later in his career.
Maybe we will find out in March?

the best I have ever seend is ALI and HAGLER....prob cuz i have seen them actually get hit with clean shots so many times....I hate chin questions but the newer guys james toney, PBF, HOPKINS, Calzaghe...those 5 I have never seen down or hurt bad but for flash knock downs...and amir khan

Nothing against Urango at all but Bailey is kind of a sentimental favorite of mine because he seems like a great guy and when he finally dropped the bomb I was happy for him, thinking he became a two-timer. Then Urango technically gets an uncredited knockdown in seconds. Bailey's glove touched the canvas there I think but it wasn't called? That's boxing. You never know what a guy can do or take. Love it.

 

how can ANYONE question his chin???? If u do ur a hater....or just guessing...if someone has 40 fights and has never been down or seriously hurt he has a good chin....he makes his fights look easy but the sport is fighting and he gets hit alot over 40 fights...so until he gets hurt or goes down his chin can not be questioned....90% of your chin is attributed to conditioning/heart (micky ward, jake lamotta) and or defense (mayweather jr , hopkins)

 

I'm not sure I've ever seen a guy on his feet after taking what Ali took in the third Frazier fight. That was ridiculous. If I had been there live during the mid to late rounds, I'd have just assumed Ali was going down. That guy could take a wrecking ball and still be on his feet trash talking the wrecking ball.
