Benavidez by far hes facing Rani Yahya and that guy has some incredible Jiu-Jitsu. Yahya won Abu Dhabi in 2007, all his WEC wins have been by submission I believe.
It's a zuffa event. I have more interest in Shine fights. Why not start a thread about a promotion that doesn't involve the bankrupt fertittas? kill zuffa
Let's say they sell the WEC. It's all the same roster, same officials, same divisions, everything...different ownership. Is it then suddenly okay to like the WEC in wentz's world?

Takeya Mizugaki just got nearly blown out in less than thirty seconds! :shock: Dropped hard with a single punch, and then Jorgensen locked in a tight guillotine. Halfway into the round, Mizu still uncomfortable with this guy's speed. Tough *******, though - digging body shots and trying to cover up and push off. Mizugaki hurt and dropped again. Jorgensen right on top of him...almost gets his back as Mizu gets up. Mizu locks his hands above Jorgensen's trunks and hangs on with his back to the cage, burning time off the clock. Massive round for Jorgensen.
Mizugaki turned it around in the third, keeping it from being a completely one-sided fight, but he'd already lost the first two clearly. Awaiting the judges' cards now... ...and they're spot-on. 29-28 x3 for Scotty Jorgensen.
WEC deliver yet again! Great card I thought. Cerrone-Ratcliff was a very good fight despite Cerrone's wayward knees. Mizugaki-Jorgensen was a very exciting battle. Mizugaki is one tough mofo and Jorgensen just put himself up there with the best in the bantamweight division I feel. Njokuani looked good. Benavidez looked good too. And the Pickett-Dietz fight was sick. Great finish as well from Pickett. A good nights MMA by all accounts.
Pickett was the British dude who finished with a Peruvian necktie right? His post-fight interview was great - something like "Yeah, we (UK fighters) generally kind of suck at submissions so I thought I'd try something a little different to put us on the map..."
Yeah Pickett's the British dude. He won't be the champ or probably won't even challenge for the belt, but the man is guaranteed excitement.
