He should stay retired, he is probably standing at 200lbs+ right now, losing 60 pounds in a short space of time ****s with the body and the mind, very gruelling, if he were to face JMM or Khan he'd lose.

 

Man I'm surprised folks are giving ricky a sniff of a chance against DLH , JMM or even Khan now , he would get hopelessly leathered by an of them now.

 

If he wants a war then he should fight someone like Cotto, he won't get a war from Marquez or De La Hoya, they're both shot now!

That's not saying the Hatton would beat them both, I'm just saying the style of fight he wants, he won't get from those two....they'd probably out-box him and make him look amateurish!

 

Its ok Hatton saying he wants a war, but his body dont want one, a couple of decent digs and he is out of there

I would hesitate to say Marquez is shot, just because he is coming off the back of a 12 round defeat, at a higher weight class, against one of the best modern fighters in the sport. Its way too early to tell. I'd say he could probably still be highly competitive if he droped down a division or two, and I'd give him a better than average chance against Hatton.

 

Marquez would counterpunch Hattons mellon head all day long ,and take him out.

I'd pay to see Hatton - JMM in this country, but only so I could actually see JMM in the flesh

 

I do agree actually, I do think DLH is shot, but yes, you make a good point on the weight class for JMM and I think at light-welter especially, he'd beat Hatton, I'd even go as far as saying he'd KO the Hitman, purely because in between fights JMM looks after himself and stays in shape....and Hatton......well no need to even discuss that one really is there?

Man this forum is gonna be alot quieter when he finally does retire.

For what it's worth i think he should make his semi retirement permanent.

 

He's still got his xmas feast to come yet aswell and another 8 holidays!

 

I think people would take his speculation a lot more seriously if he didn't look so ill and got into some sort of training.

Can just see him on Xmas night,stuffed to the gunnels and completely steaming. Him and his brother both wearing paper crowns from the tables *******s.
