Bobby Lashley Signs With Strikeforce

i knew it would happen. it's a good signing.

they will try and make him their brock. he has some ability. i'll be watching.

their heavyweight roster now has even more depth.

Strikeforce's HW division is far more superior than anything the UFC has at this moment and time. Lashley is pretty damn good, and I cant wait to see more of him in MMA. Still, who else wouldnt want to see Lesnar/Lashley, if Lesnar ever recovers from his illness and returns to the Octagon?

 

Fedor, Arlovski, Lashley, Werdum, Silva, Rogers...

Strikeforce's heavyweight roster is slowly rivalling the UFC. Having the best heavyweight makes a big difference. The main thing is that they can present challenges to Fedor, which they are. The good news is every heavyweight who signs for Strikeforce will be able to chase the much coveted title of 'best mma heavyweight in the world'.

lesnar, mir, nog, formerly couture, cheik, cain, carwin, dos santos...

carwin, cain and dos santos are serious forces that are developing.

lesnar is a better lashley.

dos santos looks like a better rogers.

etc etc

 

Kongo meh. Mir meh. Couture meh (plus he's at 205 now).
The only guys i give there dues are Lesnar Dos Santos Cain and Carwin. But none of them are infinitly better than what Strikeforce has. Matter of fact Strikeforce apart from Couture and Big Nog has the better veteran experience. Alot of what the UFC has is riding off its prospects. Strikeforces heavies are well known quantities and you forgot to add Overeem and possibly Monson.

Lashley's a blind spot for me, since I don't follow little kid soap operas anymore...does he have legit Greco cred like Brock?

 

Brock doesnt have no Greco background. And Lashley fought about 2 or 3 divisions below Brock to my knowledge. Matters not if you ask me as both are genetic freaks. Wrestling aside both these men are serious talents.

What separates collegiate/freestyle/gr? Is one considered more difficult or impressive, to master? Why would someone practice one instead of the other? Is it that one style is more appealing to the naturally athletic, while another more greatly benefits those who put in the work to hone their skill?

 

Couldnt tell you buddy. Beebs is the resident "wrastling" jock around here. Wait for him to turn up im sure he can write a 2 page thread on his love for "wrastling". The only wrestling i know is catch wrestling. Other than that its all the same to me
