I checked for Bruce Lee on Boxrec, but it turns out he doesn't have a record, so I may not go to him for my boxing advice.

Seriously though, the dude was an actor who practiced martial arts. There are a lot of apocryphal stories about him doing this, or him doing that, but that's simply the culture of martial arts. When I studied Kung Fu, years ago, there were all sorts of stories about this teacher boiling water in his hands with his chi, or how this guy beat up four guys who tried to attack him with bats, and blah blah blah...it's what happens when people who don't actually have to prove that they know how to fight are judged based on their fighting ability.

Like the story about Bruce Lee beating a Chinese Master to earn the right to teach. That's one version. Another, and one more popular amongst traditional martial artists, is that Bruce got handled. A third is that Bruce hit the guy once and then the guy just ran around the room and Bruce chased him until he got winded and decided he should probably start training cardio.

The common thread amongst all of these stories is that a) no one really knows and b) who the **** is this "best fighter in china" (no answer on that on either). ****, we have video of Jack Dempsey fighting, but no footage of Bruce Lee, who was surrounded by cameras for much of his life, in a single fight, despite a bazillion stories about his martial prowess being exhibited. Look up the word apocryphal, and prepare to be amazed.

It's bull****. Was Bruce Lee involved in fights? No doubt. Was he in good shape? Yup. Does he deserved to be judged alongside professional boxers who fight FOR A LIVING? **** no.

Floyd KO1 Bruce. If it makes you feel better, though, Pac KO1 Bruce as well.

This is a 50/50 fight and thats why people are so buzzed about it.
I think it a naive to start talking about Bruce Lee in boxing terms as it has nothing at all to do with Enter the Dragon.

Floyd has displayed great fotitude in the past and his skills cannot be denied.
Manny won me over after I saw him beat MAB and I certainly wouldnt rule him out of this fight.

The one thing that is certain is that it will be a GREAT fight.
