Being undefeated is very impressive in this sport; especially when you've had 40 fights over 5 divsions against mostly world class opposition. I don't know anyone in Floyd's position that wouldn't tout their undefeated record.
cotto cant even knock pac out, how much more him? if may wins, it will be a decision. but i can see pac winning ala cotto.
My bet would be FMJ on points but I wont be too shocked if he KO`s Pacman, who does get hit clean at times too often.... & Mayweather is being badly underrated as a puncher here IMO.
People said the same and laughed to death at the idea of Mayweather knocking Hatton out claiming "Tszyu punches 1billion times harder and he couldn't!". Of course the ones posting that were the always drunken British fans who still insist that Hatton beat Tszyu fairly and all the cheating tactics he used is not cheating and is 100% legal to British fighters ONLY fighting foreign fighters in England. A KO is very possible if he commits to it, but Mayweather doesn't care much about it and always secures a points victory.
Im not a Hatton fan but Tszyu was beaten fair & square, to say Hatton never won that fair is an insult to the effort he put in that night.
Nice inflammatory headline. Nowhere does he say he's going to knock PAC out. Did you read the article? Those quotes came from his interview on Joe Buck Live. When asked if he would knock PAC out, Floyd said "i'll be victorious" - i.e. he thinks he wont knock PAC out. The implication was the exact opposite of the articles headline. Yeah, he can do it. But as for talking about it, he said about JMM on 24/7 "You know we can't let this boy standing." or something pretty close. But he might catch Pac just racing in and nail him hard enough to hurt him badly. Cotto is heavier handed than Floyd by miles but when you're getting countered or caught coming in with blinding speed that Mayweather has, the force of a blow you're not braced for or running smack into is worth some serious knockout potential. Ask Ali who is the only man to stop Foreman and Buonavena. Those were brilliantly placed punches by an opportunistic and fast handed hitter who had underrated strength.
I should have checked that out but I cared so much less about Floyd's talking as my own talking about the fight because...you know, I find myself more credible.
Yo BigReg...I see you have Lamont Peterson as your Avatar...Do you think he can pull-it-off tonight. I am a huge fane of the Peterson brothers...I have been picking Lamont since this fight got made!!!! Bradley does have some STIFF-ASS competition of his resume though (Witter, Campbell, Holt, Cherry)...But Lamont is very impressive. Rumor has it that Maidana and Anthony Peterson are in negotiations for the Pac/PBF undercard. Personally...I wanted one of the Peterson Brothers to fight either Amir Khan or the undefeated Mike Alverado (26-0).
