Why didn't Mundine chase these sort of fights, instead he is fighting some guy with a lot of tattoos, Green deserves or accolades for having a real go
Going by article on homepage this fight looks set to get made soon. Hopefully in Sydney again, i'm sure it will do well riding off the back for the RJJ success.
BHop is tough to negotiate, he will want 70% of the money. It is clearly the best option for both fighters, let's see if it happens.
mate i don't think it will work like that, Green will promote the fight and offer BHOP something like 4-5mil plus the US PPV etc
I think Mundine pioneered the Wednesday fight nights as the weekend is generally full with footy, rugby and other sport, which will therefore detract from PPV and possibly gate sales. It can get better attention on a Wednesday night, which is also good as we don't have to wait to the weekend for the fight.
If Green keeps doing this and Mundine keeps fighting mid range fighters, the whole country will be behind Green come rematch time, which you would think is inevitable.
props to team Green if this comes off.it will be enormous for aussie boxing.as for the actual fight i think Hopkins takes it unless unlike the Beyer 2 and Mundine fights he has a plan B if plan A doesnt work.or Danny might jump on him and end in 2 minutes.
