Johnson made history. He became the second fighter to have gone the distance with Vitali

This is why you don't let a guy who has never fought a top fifty opponent into a title fight. I know there weren't many better choices, but it's important for the integrity of the sport that a guy shows SOMETHING before he gets in there.

It was an embarrassment. Johnson didn't throw a single punch that if landed would have mattered. I honestly think if he had landed every punch flush he still would have lost a unanimous desicion. That's how pathetic it was.

Again, I don't blame Vitali for taking the fight, but it's just a waste of time. Holyfield at lesast would have tried, would have thrown a punch in anger.

Get James Toney in there, get Briggs. I'd rather have a wash up than a never was. At least these guys will try.

And still champion, Dr. Ironstiff. I'm not hating though, he did the job in usual Klitschko fashion.

I called Johnson a joke contender before this fight. I wasn't wrong.
That he managed to last the full 12 is a kick in the arse of heavyweight boxing.

Wait guys, give KJ props. He's only the second to have lasted the distance.
I think he ducked way too much, if Vit hit him behind the head, wouldn't have blame him.
But KJ clearly has speed to spear at this level and his chin can hold. He's an intresting boxer.

Johnson went in so he could tell his grandkids that Vitali Klitschko couldn't knock him out.

He didn't even try to win, his victory is that VK didn't land on his chin or rock him.. that's all he wanted, you could tell.

    Pathetic excuse for a fight.

What the **** is with all these guys coming in fat, out-of-shape, or not even trying against the Klitschko's.. it's not their fault.. but **** when is the last time someone actually came to try to win against them?? Seriously, I can't think of who'd fit that billing.

The Klitschko's need to stop accepting challenges from these no-hopers. This is ridiculous. Arreola was a challenge at least - so perhaps Vitali deserves a pass on this one.

    Very good post.

I attach zero blame to Vitali for making this fight. His actual performance, I have some small issues with, but still he's relatively blameless.

Johnson I thought would be a wash as a contender and that's exactly what he was. This fight was a waste of everyone's time, PLEASE can we get some better contender in 2010.

The final round was quite good to be fair

Prhaps KJ was beaten before he got to the ring. He was certainly beaten in the ring

Chambers got sissified by mid-fight and forgot to do what was workin' so well for him early on in the fight, optin' to eat punches instead. Good for him. Another chump. He coulda been a contender . . . in the cruiserweight division.

Screw televised, he should never even be mentioned again.
