David Haye get your gloves laced up! Vitali Klitchko seemed to age before my eye's tonight. He lacked speed, he lacked movement and he lacked power. Come to think of it I'm struggling to think of anything he did well tonight (perhaps the entrance). One bad performance doesn't normally make you a bad boxer but it looked like more than that tonight. Johnson was in there to survive and bar flicking out his good looking (at times) jab twice a round he did sweet FA. Vitali could have unloaded at any point during any round but he just plodded and fired slow non powerful shots at this club fighter. Before this fight I wanted to see Haye in with Vladimir first but after this I say get him in with Vitali. If not and Vitali's people are looking for more supposedly easy cannon fodder. I say get him in with Audley Harrison. It would be a saleable fight due to the Gold and due to his past fights and record they would see it as an easy win. I on the other hand could see Audley doing it! But sod that I want to see Haye bang this guy out!
I have just posted this exact topic somewhere else. Vitali looked old. His punches getting laughed at. I always fancied Haye to ko Wladimir and now i reckon Haye out points Iron jaw.
To be honest I could even now see Haye stopping him. He just didn't look like he could cope with any kind of pace tonight. If the bum johnson had actually stepped up the pace then who knows. Woeful challenge for the title though!
What make's you think, David Haye is going to chase down Vitali..? If he ran, and fought scared against "The Beast"..? And Vitali could'nt keep with the pace tonight..? David Haye threw 11/10 punches a round in his last fight.......... How many punches did Vitali throw per round tonight..? He's the trash talking champion.
Haye was cagey against a man a foot taller and almost 10 stone heavier, are you suprised??? He was never going to stand toe to toe with him!! I see him beating vit after tonights performance, get it on!!
I've felt that Vitali has been there for the taking since the Gomez fight. Problem is there hasn't really been anyone out there to do the taking! I'd give Haye and maybe Eddie Chambers a good shot though.
I will keep saying it, over and over again.. Until someone ****ing gets it...! David Haye threw 10/11 punches per round..! Vitali throw's 60 punches per round, and people are saying..that he cannot keep up with the pace. How on earth is Vitali for the taking..?
Vitali is 6"8 WK is 6"6..? And these guys have speed/power and great boxing skills.... Do you guys really think David Haye is going to run after these guys..? Ive got a three word answer... 1. NO 2. ****ING 3. WAY...
And he landed like 1 or 2 punches per round... Why are you sticking up for a **** performance from David Haye, it was ****ing ****.
If Haye was serious about legacy he would have fought Vitali before he turned 40. I believed in Haye, but to me it is increasingly looking like the junk we get fed elsewhere. It's knocking on for years now since he talked about fighting both the Klits, still there is no fight, Vitali will be 40 in 2011. Say Haye beats up a 40 year old man, so what? That boat has nearly sailed credibility wise.
We new the plan was to evade and counter for the first 4-5 rounds. Obviously the hand changed thing but still a clear victory. Vitali is a completely different task. Untill tonight I wasn't 100% sure that Haye could beat Vitali but based on that tonight I am. Get him in there. Go back and watch any other Haye fight. He's not a runner and you saying so just shows your ignorance!
