In terms of heavyweight or overall? I think both yes. In terms of HW prob top 25. In terms of all time, all weight classes. I think top 100, probably top 75.
He is; no doubt.............. V.K. is a real winner........... And, anyone and everyone who has had a few "So-So" showings now and then deals with it........ Styles make fights............ Kevin Johnson was / is a survivor....... His style utilized caused a stinker to transpire, but he went 12.......... STILL! V.K. won hands down...... V.K. is an ATG champion........ :bbbthumbsup MR.BILL
Here was the rings rankings as of 1996 the best boxers of the last 50 years. I think you can make an argument for Vitali being in the top 100. I know you cannot make an argument for Vitali not being in the top 50 all time for heavyweights. You would have trouble not ranking him top 25 for Heavyweights. Sugar Ray Robinson Muhammad Ali Roberto Duran Willie Pep Sugar Ray Leonard Julio Cesar Chavez Carlos Monzon Alexis Arguello Eder Jofre Ike Williams Carlos Zarate Rocky Marciano Sandy Saddler Ezzard Charles Jose Napoles Archie Moore Larry Holmes Ruben Olivares Mike Tyson Marvin Hagler Pernell Whitaker Wilfredo Gomez Bob Foster Michael Spinks Thomas Hearns Salvador Sanchez Fighting Harada Jake LaMotta Emile Griffith Wilfred Benitez Carlos Ortiz Eusebio Pedroza Dick Tiger Miguel Canto Aaron Pryor Pascual Perez Kid Gavilan George Foreman Carmen Basilio Joe Frazier Azumah Nelson Gene Fullmer Roy Jones Jr. Evander Holyfield Nino Benvenuti Antonio Cervantes Flash Elorde Sonny Liston Mike McCallum Vicente Saldivar
cool, that was for sure 1996 correct? Vitali is still not top 100 for me though, I don't know how anybody could have him on that list.
Id like to see your heavyweight list because by most serious boxing fans he was in the top 30 after he got hurt. Since he has comeback he has moved up. So post your list i think you are way off.
