Yep. Pretty much. Not saying the hate Mayweather gets is racism. But Ali wasnt liked by hte majority of Americans. Many people forget, the majority of Americans were for the Vietnam war, and the majority of Americans hated Ali. Yeah, young peoples from ages 18-24, a good portion minorities, liked Ali(pretty much like Mayweather) but the vast majority of middle class WASP America did not.

Cockiness and his attitude is why people don't like him. As a boxer u can't deny his talent but apart from that many people just don't connect with him.

Fast forward to Ray leonards part.. Who does he sound like....... "I will never get my credit. The say he had cramps.. he could of got up" ****.. Floyd is more like Ray leonard than I thought. The same mainstream america criticized him more than Floyd. Doing my homework a little you come across some funny ****.

Mayweather may be a good guy behind closed doors, but his media persona is nauseating sometimes, and thats the general consensus

 

You never know floyd might not trash talk as much and actually get good press. That might make americans support him, because if pac and roach have their way he may need encouragement because their could be a lot of dodgy moments for him.

I don't like Floyd because he's cocky and arrogant, I think his style is boring and he doesn't care about putting on a good show for the fans, and I think that since he moved up to Welterweight he's been ducking the best fighters. Although I do have the utmost respect for his boxing ability, I just liked watching him much more at 126 and 130.

Paul Williams is my favorite fighter. He's humble and soft-spoken and I think his style speaks for itself in terms of fan enjoyment.
