Vitali was up 4 rounds to 2 against Lewis. They cant deny that so the only thing they can come up with was "the momentum was with Lewis" Like lewis wasnt tired as **** after the end of the 6th.

The point was that the last 2 went to Lewis and it appeared he was starting to get on top. But who knows how it may have panned out!

  3. Wrong.

Chris Arreola will be remembered in 10 years time cause he should be the Heavyweight Champion at that point and his only loss of his career will be the one he suffered to Vitali. Arreola has a great future, he just stepped up to fast and met a great Champion who possibly could rank as the best Heavyweight ever when he hangs up the gloves.

I'm not sure that Arreola has the dedication to boxing required to be there in 10 years time. He has never got the weight thing sorted. Shame because like you say he has talent and has only lost to the best.

We must be clear though whilst I respect Vitali as a Champion it looks like his time has past based on tonights performance.

Seriously. Vitali didn't beat anybody tonight. Who the **** is Kevin Johnson. If it was Eddie Chambers, I would give V. Klit big props, but Johnson shouldn't even be fighting for the title. He has done nothing to warrent this shot. Let's hope V. Klit fights a credible opponent next time.

Vitali was certainly going to defeat Byrd, he was way ahead on the scorecards when he suffered his unfortunate injury. As for the Lewis fight, whilst it is true that Vitali was leading on the score-cards when the fight was stopped I do believe that it would have been a very close decision, either way. There did appear to me to be a change in momentum, in Lewis' favour during the last two rounds of the fight. But the fact is Klitschko suffered a horrendous "Ripped-Up" eye injury that required 100+ stitches. I honestly do not believe that anyone could "Fight fine" with such a handicap mate!! Dr Iron-Fist most certainly did want to continue (No-one who watched that fight could ever question his chin or his courage) but even Vitali's most staunch supporters can't argue with the stoppage by the doctor, simply because the injury was so severe and would have surely got much worse as the fight progressed. As you know, fighters are often so brave that the decision to continue has to be taken by an independent medical expert, for the fighters safety! At the very least Vitali's eyesight was in danger (To say nothing of the brain damage he could have suffered as a result of taking blows he may not have seen). Of course, doctors aren't fighters and usually they do err on the side of caution But that injury was only going to get much worse!! And it was punches that caused the injury, so Lennox wins. But Lewis never tangled with Vitali again, did he? I'm not a huge fan of Klitschko, but I do admire him and I do believe that he will probably never receive the credit he undoubtedly deserves, which is a shame because at his best only a "Peak" Ali beats him comfortably!! Everybody else has a serious fight on their hands. That is not to say that I believe that Vitali is #2, but he'd be a dangerous opponent for all the "Greats" and for that reason alone I am willing to consider a "Peak" Vitali an ATG. Let us not forget, his best days are obviously behind him!
