I'm here mate.....I can't really comment on the Johnson fight, there was a spot behind the TV I'd just painted and I chose to watch that dry for an hour or so instead.

I suspect this thread starter is a wind up merchant, otherwise the whole post would be a quote of the week :D

I don't know enough about the HW division? I know enough to realise that there's no way he's going to eclipse the likes of Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Lennox Lewis, George Foreman, Sonny Liston and co and become the greatest HW of all-time.

I also know enough to realise he's never going to eclipse the likes of Robinson, Armstrong, Langford, Greb, Charles, Benny Leonard, Pep, Walker, Duran etc and become top 10 P4P of all-time.

That is absolutely laughable. Look at the state of Vitali's resumé. Kevin & Kirk Johnson, Danny Williams, Corrie Sanders, Larry Donald, Samuel Peter, Juan Carlos Gomez. That is appalling for one of the so called 'greatest HW's of all-time'. Absolutely shocking. Face it, Vitali has and always will be known for losing to a past-prime, overweight Lennox Lewis. He wasn't going to win that fight, he was getting cut up and battered - the momentum was clearly shifting Lewis' way and Vitali was still holding on from that huge uppercut.

I'm not so sure I think he's genuine.

It's beyond me though how you could watch that fight and not see he has faded!

I've not watched it.....if I get really bored tomorrow I'll catch the replay. I'll have to be bored to the brink of contemplating suicide though.

Vitali / Wlad - B level fighters (at best) ruling a terrible shitfest of a division. Their not even close to ATG and probably never will be with the competition that's out there.

Vitali and ATG don't belong in the same sentence.

Vitali is a great fighter, but he lost to Byrd and Lewis and there is nothing to be said about it.

Hopefully, he gets Haye and solis in the ring. I think they would be two very good additions to his record.

wow. watching first round and johnson trying to be Ali and do rope-a-dope. vitali not too impressive himself. Ali would of schooled these guys easy. vitali lowers his right way too much and is gasping for air already in the 2nd. he needs to be careful vs. a big puncher in the future like hayes or tua who are big left hookers.

Vitali was never anything special, its amazing what lengths some will go to discredit fighters like Tyson, Holifield, Lewis, Haye etc but the same clowns won't say a word about how mediocre Vitali and his resume are. Ruiz is more accomplished than him and haye after just 3 fights at HW isn't too far behind Mr Robotic. BTW Wlad is clearly the better brother when he doesn't panic.

According too many Vitali is Top 5 H2H :rofl

  15. Did you even see this fight? Vitali started slow and finished very strong in the fight. He got strong as the fight went on and he looked great in the 12th rounds. So faded? He looked as great as he did in his last 3 fights in his comeback fights and even at age 38 he still looks as good as he did at 33. Say what you want, but you can't name a Heavyweight that can beat him. That's a true sign of Greatness, when you fight in a era and you are unbeatable no matter who you are put in the ring with.
