Should Solis fight Klitshcko immediately or should the organization of Vitali's first order a fight between he and Ray Austin? Austin is nothing special but he has won his last four against good opposition. I think a win over Austin would give him good experience going into a fight with Vitali. Of course if I were his handlers I wouldn't risk a chance of a loss if I was not ordered to fight Austin only because that's lots of cash to lose.

Vitali wouldn't get any credit for beating Solis, unfortunately. I think Vitali should fight Toney/Briggs/Tua in the spring, which would be a pretty big fight. Then a fight with a top heavyweight like David Haye, and if thats not possible Povetkin. After that he can fight Austin/Maskaev as his final fight before retirement

Maskaev lost he will not fight the eliminator.

I think Povetkin should fight Solis to become the WBC Mandatory.

    This is the WBC rankings.

    1. Ray Austin
    2. Oleg Maskaev
    3. Alexander Povetkin
    4. Chris Arreola
    5. Manuel Quezada
    6. Kevin Johnson
    7. Odlanier Solis
    8. James Toney
    9. Davarryl Williamson
    10. Samuel Peter
    11. Juan Carlos Gomez
    12. Denis Boytsov
    13. Fres Oquendo
    14. Derric Rossy
    15. Evander Holyfield

Austin is no.1 so he either gets a shot at Vitali or an eliminator with a highly ranked contender.

Maskaev just lost his place and will likely retire.

Povetkin already has a mandatory shot at Wlad so he won't be interested.

Arreola won't be interested in a rematch with Vitali at this stage.

    Johnson just lost.

So that leaves Quezada, Solis, Toney or possibly Aquilera as options to fight Austin for a mandatory shot. It should be Solis but since Austin has the choice he will fight Quezada or Aquilera and surely beat them to get a totally undeserved shot at Vitali.

Also I see Holyfield's name on that list. If he gets past Botha and looks good doing it we may see him fighting Vitali next. Please let this not happen.

I think Austin-Solis would be a pretty good fight and would be a nice tuneup for the giant Vitaili. A top level somewhat dangerous tuneup.

It's not about should or would,it's about he has.

Solis has to fight and beat Austin, who already had a title eliminator promised,to get a shot at Vitali.

IMO Austin is a good test and a good fight for Solis but the Cuban should win.He should also lose a few pounds.

What has Solis done to show that he is ready or even deserves a title fight?

KJ didn't deserve a fight for the belt, he's beaten nobody. Solis doesn't deserve a fight for the belt, he didn't beat anybody. They would earn the right if Vitali hadn't messed up their fight for October 10th, really a screw up by team Klitchko, IMO.

Now, Solis should get the place of Maskaev in that mandatory eliminator fight with Austin to earn his place.

totally nothing! Many people think he is good but he is not!
He is all hype! Vitali would destroy him even though i think vitali is already
    starting to age a bit!

What a pile of shite - the only ones i would like to see Vitali fight are Povetkin and Solis.Boytsov is not ready yet.

Tua would be my No.1 to face Vitali but he is obviously not ranked:huh
