    The difference for me:

Ali- cocky, but wins people over with entertaining fights

Floyd- cocky, douche, his boring fights don't win many people over (I personally like fundamental boxing skills, but the masses want action)

Ali actually seemed to like people (he was a cnt to Frazier and some others though), Floyd is just a vacuous douchebag and hes not even funny (well intentionally anyway)

Really what do you know ?! Joe didn't think it was funny that Ali called him a gorilla which made it socially for his kid and himself ..

Patterson didn't think it was funny that Ali called him a sale out or a uncle tom.
Ali said allot racial overtone remarks about allot fighter of his time and allot of those remarks were not consider funny nor did they have anything to do with boxing.

You guys act like floyd is the only fighter to say something horrible to another fighter .. Fighter like Alen Menter said a hell of allot worse about hagler before their fight, and the actions of the fan after Marvin beat him proved that he meant every word.

So please get off the ****ing mud slinging BS !

Sorry calling a black person a uncle tom in the 60 and 70 was serious and not consider funny, say that to someone could get you killed.

Ali was hated big time from his prime days till FOTC. He only grew support once Vietnam sizzled and people thought he may have been right.

Lets be real Floyd doesn't have the set to be as streight of a shooter as Ali .Floyd's talk comes from an insecure place ..I never condoned what Ali said especially to Frazier and Patterson by the way ..

No one told you? According to some you are not allowed to dislike anyone that is black. If you do, you are racist. There's no other way. However this doesn't apply to any other race.

ali as great as he was, was an ******* for some of the things he said to frazier but he had since apologized. but obviously ali influced many people in terms of self-promotion, so alot of you complain like a bunch of women about mayweather, need to understand that he is influced by ali. not just him but a guy like toney, even tyson to a certain extent etc. also alot of guys in other sports and in the entertainment industry.

 at Ali not being abrasive.

Some of the things he did and said were way beyond that of Mayweather's bull****.

He even said in an interview in 1974 that Muslims who marry non-Muslims should be KILLED.

He didn't just call Joe Frazier an Uncle Tom, he also used that term to degrade Jackie Robinson and Joe Louis, two guys who paved the way for Ali.

Ali was pretty damn boring for much of his first reign in the 60s, with the exception of the Williams fight and maybe one or two others. Patterson, Chuvalo, Folley, Terrell, Milderberger, etc..weren't exactly barnburners.

It was really only when his legs slowed down after his inactivity so he got hit more that he started being involved in more exciting fights.

Floyd just plain and simple doesnt have a FRACTION of Ali's charisma. With Ali, you never knew what he was gonnna say next, but you knew it would be entertaining.

With Floyd... he just says the same recycled bull**** over and over again, and alot of times comes across as whiney.

Floyd Jr. tries to be funny but he's usually unfunny. He got the bulk of the boxing talent in that family, but not the comedic talents of his father and Roger.

Mayweather isn't abrasive. He's a tactless Mayweather. Can't be taken seriously enough to be abrasive.

Look, this isn't a fair comparison. We are talking about comparing a man with a superior intellect and an amazing charisma with someone who is merely a great boxer and an interesting character.
