Its not racist if you dont like Floyd, youre not obligated to like him.

But I am annoyed with all the people that wont give him his due and will ***** and moan no matter what he does. He will beat Pac and there will be excuses everywhere. Im tired of the double standards too.

Spoken like a sensitive Floyd groupie. Ali was disliked partially because it was unconventional at the time for a black athlete to run his mouth, or dont you realize that?

Floyd is disliked pretty much because he comes across as a *****. Which would translate better to the public if he had a destroying style, but he doesnt.

Personally I love Floyd as a fighter and find his style beautiful to watch, but as a person he tries to entertain... but is very boring.

Pretty tough comparison for floyd.Ali was in the middle of a huricane of ****, vietnam, media awakening, islam, race riots, draft.Ali gets alot of guilt love, but I read that Ali was a wrestling fan & some guy Georgious George was an over the top joker & the fans loved it,ali probably loved the bull****,saw the opportunity & that`S where his sthick started.also he had so many fights ,that he got off the bike and stood toe to toe,and entertained showed his heart.
Mayweather`s in tough here ,it`s true people don`t love or hate Floyd like Ali .People wanna see mayweather lighten up outside the ropes ,and particpate in some hard faught wars.

Yeah, Floyd's got this whiny, poor pitiful me streak to the things he says. I don't recall Ali ever setting about to retire because he wasn't appreciated and weeping about it. He just picked the biggest challenge and kicked their ass. Floyd and Ali aren't even alike. Floyd is a better pure boxer than Ali...never be close to as great though.

Ali was disliked by whites for refusing induction into the army to serve his country, they could care less what he called another darky..
However Black people took being called a uncle tom very seriously at a time when black people were being oppressed. So calling Joe a uncle tom in the 70 was the worse tag Ali could put on another black man.. very hurtful, and disrespectful and sure in the hell not funny or witty.

Ali was original and funny and fought them all. Floyd is bitter and doesn't fight them all and is not funny. Ali had this charisma and charm and he was just brilliant. He did get harsh with Frazier, but regardless of that, he was original and a credit to the sport. Ali is the reason we had guys like Hearns and Leonard in the 1980's, and a whole bunch of fighters after. He rejuvenated boxing on it's own. Floyd has not, and actually I thought boxing was better after he quit for a year or two. I think it is an insult to compare Floyd to Ali.

    Bull**** Pretty.

Maybe in your nook of the woods.

But where I was in the sixties, he was pretty much a God.

And I doubt if there were more than ten black folks in the whole country at that time.

On the way to school, We talked about who he was going to slaughter next.

It was a woebegone day when they took away his title, and America's image in the world dropped another notch.

When he came back there was jubilation, and then depression again when he lost to Smokin' Joe, whose name was then mud.

Since then, most of us have come to see Joe as an alright dude who was wronged by Ali, not necessarily intentionally, but on account of Ali taking the jive too far.

Floyd is not in the same general league as Ali.

Not as a boxer, a wit, a social phenomenon, nor as a man.

He doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same thread.

So in the 60s, during one of the most racist decades, everybody loved Ali, a loud black guy who called himself the greatest and be littled white people, a man who also refused to go to war and also a man who joined a militant black group..**** OFF :nut go spew your bull**** elsewhere.
