    I've no idea.
He's been inactive since the second McIntyre fight and had said he was in need of a break.
That's been quite a while now, though.

Jamie Coyle just missed the boat a few years back due to needing eye surgery. He had to save up himself for ages and get the op before he was allowed to go pro. Had he managed to go pro all those years ago he could have went on to great things and his amateur pedigree is top notch (6 times ABA champ if memory serves)

His British title with Rhodes came far too late for him but his heart still showed through and he even wobbled Rhodes once or twice in there.

Agree, I heard he had to save his money for a long time to get the eye op, ****in joke, you would have thought Tommy Gilmour would have paid for it to get the guy fighting, and then took it off his purse:bart

I would say at the moment the best prospect of becoming a world champion has to be ricky burns . i do think that boxers like young appleby have time on there side if he came back but i like kenny anderson and think he has a great chance of becoming our next brittish champion . so my top three are burns anderson appleby

Burns at the moment, but i think the state of Scottish boxing is relatively healthy and i wouldnt rule out the likes of Appleby gunning for a european strap.

I think Anderson could be a star but he needs to get his arse in gear.

Jamie was a great amateur and is a really nice boy. Same as some of the other the bannockburn boys. Sure he was mostly lightweight but about 6' tall. It would have been good to see him go pro earlier than aged 27.

If I recall his eyes were so bad he could hardly see the punches coming and needed his great reflexes to keep out the way.
