12 rounds; 126 lbs. Two British Feathers, both had power (Naz has the bigger punch judging by the footage I've seen, which is obviously much more of The Prince) and both had awkward styles, Driscolls was primarily awkward due to the era he fought in/gloves he wore (I assume) although he doesn't seem to hold back on the punches he's throwing here. Both are also very short. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LSDYJOFp7Q[/ame] So, would Driscolls gloves allow him to dent Naz's chin like we've never seen before? Would Hamed's bad balance finally be the undoing of him? Or would Driscoll find it hard to land his shots on Naz, who in his prime had an awkward elusiveness to add to his awesome two-fisted power. For me, Naz is too hittable to get through unscatched. Seeing as I'm much more familiar with Naz I'm tempted to say he wins on poitns in an unforgettable clash. now people might knock me but i seriously just think driscoll's hands and feet are too busy to enale naseem to counter, driscoll is a true master boxer, not the greatest match-up for naz
I posted this in a Driscoll-Hamed thread not too long ago. ''Two potential outcomes here: Hamed fights flat-footed and power-reliant as he did under Steward/Suarez, and Driscoll schools him; or, Hamed of the Ingle days fights up on his toes, bouncing about unpredictably looking to land those unorthodox, lethal counters that were generated from his legs with real power, and Driscoll schools hims.'' It was a bit of an overstatement, but I'll stand by the general gist. Driscoll is one of the old timers who looks genuinely good to my eye, and while matching up two men from two such differing respective eras would be pointless much of the time, it isn't here IMO. If we coalesce the impressive available footage of Driscoll with his overall ledger, it suggests to me that he had both the style and substance to exploit most of the holes in Hamed's armour. If Driscoll could handle the varying likes of Dixon, Attell, Moran, Welsh and Bowker, I'd venture to say that he could handle the unorthodoxy of Hamed (though not without clear and present danger).
Its gotta be Naz in this one, one of if not the hardest punching featherweight in history, and that unorthadox stlye would of given Driscoll nightmares... :bbb
You think? Based on what? Driscoll seems pretty versatile, and if anything I think he could give Naz just as many problems. I see Nazs chin keeping him in this one and him throwing enough quality shots and staying at mid-range clowning enough to stifle the Welshmans obvious (judging by the above footage) workrate and ferocity. I see no arguments either way and can definitely see Nazs style causing Driscoll problems, but not as clear cut as you put it mate.
Based on Naz knocked out every one he fought bar a handfull of opponents, he took a great shot also, if i was a betting man my money would go on Naz..
What..?? did you go to all of Driscolls fights,, you posted the question you moron, no need to be rude if you dont agree with someones answer, who the **** do you think you are mr ****in boxing....:nono
TIMBAAAAA Naz makes short work of the straight up boxer in 1 or 2 rounds, Driscols chin is up in the air for the taking, dont get misled by the sped up film, plus he has little in the way of lateral movement
