I think Vitali will have two or three fights before he gets round to Haye, I believe he'll take low risk fights with a few good KOs to hype up the fight with Haye, I'm thinking really old, padded records but there to be put out to pasture people like; Tony Thompson (could be big on the East Coast). On the other hand VK rarely picks fighters who are shot so maybe a young Euro based fighter like Denis Boytsov or Odlanier Solis (yes I know not based in Germany now) could sell out an arena in Europe and shows that VK still can take on and look good against younger fighters. My picks 1) Tony Thompson for a highlight reel KO in America 2) Denis Boytsov to show that he is still better than all the young prospects 3) Odlanier Solis, I want this fight to happen to se what VK does to a whale larger than Kirk Johnson!
Vitali will fight one or two more times and then retire. It will be Valuev and then somebody else, maybe Haye, maybe not.
The Valuev fight makes sense, because Haye has Ruiz coming up, whereas Valuev is free and could be ready at the same time as Vitali. It's also a greatly interesting fight in terms of seeing Valuev in with: a) Someone who could knock him out. b) Someone who is also a giant. Both fighters are very popular in the East, if not so much in the US, but this would be so easy to promote: a proper clash of the titans. How about a poster showing them both next to a normal-sized person (maybe Tyson)? It would be very impressive if Vitali could KO Valuev, and he could be the first person with a chance to beat him by standing toe-to-toe.
Vitali said 2010 is his last year so Haye might just be able to get i njured again and pass a fight. Valuev would definetely be an awesoem fight.Like B-Hop said...''just the cosmetic...'' of it would be ''huge''.
Valuev is a Haye leftover...never gonna happen. Vitali is looking for a good young HW who can accomplish something in the future. My guess is Solis.
Valuev? Why? Although he has a good record, Donald, Ruiz twice, Chagaev, Holyfield and Haye have all beaten him, and the only appeal would be watching him lose a boring one-sided desicion again. Vitali won't knock him out and it won't be at all competitive.
Nobody really wants to fight the great Vitali Klit in the ring right now............. Dave Haye is a talker of jive and a "Bidness" man looking for quick cash at low risks..... And Nick "The Dick" Valuev has been exposed as a lumbering lummox with a powder punch..... Them guys will hide from V.K. in 2010......... Odlainer Solis is an unknown in America and HBO would prolly boycott the air time for a fight between him and V.K. in 2010....... But it could be a seller in Europe, so its a possibility......... Other than that, screw it, V.K. should retire...... He's done and proven enough to me and gets my vote...... MR.BILL
I'd ****ing love to see VK fight Valuev. Would also put a lot of pressure on Haye to fight him if VK beats Valuev convincingly.
He wants to fight again in April. If you look at the time line Valuev makes sense as an opponent. So does Solis.
