He was a horrible commentator. I hope he never goes back to doing that!!

I think he should fight Hopkins, Toney, Holyfield and Foreman (in that order) then retire.

    - ll get criticised for this, but it shows how sensible Joe Calzaghe is - as a man.

    - Calzaghe could probably feel that his overall ability was deteriorating, as age inevitably causes, and left just at the right time. He never let his ego get in the way of reality.

    - Hindsight is the best trainer in town, but I bet Jones wishes he retired after fighting Ruiz. His ego let itself runaway with him.

He said he's considering retirement, though nothing concrete was said.

For his and his family's sake - he really should quite. He can still beat the c-level guys, and some of the b-level guys, but he can't take a punch at all. When someone's nervous system is so frail that they short-circuit from solid blows, they should not be in a hurt sport like boxing.

Roy seems like a good man, he had a tough childhood, he's had a good career, and he made a lot of money. Whatever else he feels he needs to prove, he's not got the ability to prove it anymore.

Best of luck in your retirement Roy. At 40 years old, you deserve it.

He took solid punches off Joe Calzaghe and Jeff Lacy.....!

Roy Jones was stopped on his feet, something like that is always going to stick in a fighters mind.........

    Bernard Hopkins had a point...!

As long as the cheques get offered he will still keep getting in the ring, and a cheque is still out there for enough for him to get back in there again.

The only certainty is that he will never ever take his act on the road again and wear the shoes of the road warrior. He'll go back to having the opponent be the road warrior.

I would still like to see Hopkins/Jones fight. Hopkins by knockout or TKO, but it's still interesting. There has been some talke about a Green/Jones rematch, but Hopkins/Green seems to be gaining momentum.
