    ???(headscratching)

The super 6 is showing and will show us that 'styles' make fights.

He may ko the winner... but the loser in the final for example may be a far tougher fight. This is how boxing works. Generally speaking

Posts like this just show how boxing fans these days are just not used to the top fighters all fighting each other and how some are struggling to adjust to the concept.

bute should have been in the tournament, but oh well...

that would be the worse case scenario if bute KO's the winner...it would make the tournament look like ****....probably won't happen though...I couldn't see bute KO'ing the iron jaw of abraham, or landing a bomb on a slickster like ward...

How would it be the worst case scenario? A fight between the winner of the Super Six and Bute may well provide a recognised champion at SMW. I don't see the downside?

Head to head I'd take Lucian Bute over any of the guys in the sauerland six, but not by KO.

Well, public perception my friend....people will claim the tournament didnt have the best fighter...and then would be trying to match-up bute against the people the winner of the super 6 fought....it would be bad for public relations.....overall, I could careless if bute KO's the winner....good for him if he does.....

Bute has skills nd power but isnt as elusive as Kessler or Calzaggy was. If Andrade could land...

Wouldn't be such a bad thing.

The thing I hate about the Super Six so far is that a great fighter like Kessler is completely discredited because another fighter was far better than we ancitipated. Instead of saying "Wow, Ward is a potential superstar, what a fighter" - most say "Kessler was always over-rated"

Boxing needs to create superstars, it can't do that when the media and it's "core" fans constantly put down fighters as being bums, solely due to a defeat.

Was Frank Mir a bum for losing to Lesnar?

That is the problem with some boxing fans....if a guy has one loss or suffers a bad KO to an elite fighter....he is suddenly a bum....:-:)huh

or his shot or something along those lines...

And if you beat Andrade, suddenly You become the best SMW in the world?

If you beat him in four rounds, you do.

I still put Ward ahead of Bute, solely because Kessler represents the "biggest win" at 168 now that Calzaghe has gone.

Why is this a setback? What is so shocking about it?

Bute is arguably the number 1 SMW in the world, although personally I rank him at 2 or 3.

The winner of the Super 6 may not be undefeated in the tournament

Essentially it would be a fight though between the two top SMWS in the world were it to happen.

Whoever wins, wins. It would be a great thing to have an Undisputed Super Middleweight Champion
