Whats a resume? As for Hamed...a fully motivated and on form Hamed would have taken Barrera all the way, maybe MAB was lucky that Naz didn't take him seriously. Barrera won the fight clear, but it was nowhere near the "schooling" or "spanking" that it has inevitably turned into over the years. For the record, I am not really a Barrera fan
Totally how I feel. Some people talk about that fight like Hamed was never in it. Some dodgy stuff happened in that fight!
No ****. Watch more of him, infinitely superior to Hamed and any fighter this country has produced in the last 20 years. :good
I actually thought when Colin Hart was in the studio they could of had a much better show if one of the other panelist went against him. They all held there tongue as Hart bashed Hatton all night without a single word being said. I'm not a Hatton fan at all but they let Hart rip him to pieces. Sky should try getting an objective panel in like RTE on football even though the panelist there make some bad comments there is always someone going to pull them up on it and get a discussion about something. Whens the last time it went to the studio for sky and they all have different opinions on the fight?
The old fella who commentates on the fights for RTE, can't remember his name but he is pure comedy gold. "Kotelnik is wearing the green shorts, and Khan is the Paki fella...and thats not racist"
This content is protected Magee is brilliant. Along with McAuley's constant "Cracking shot" you couldn't get a better duo. You should watch Giles and Dunphy after an Ireland game they are probably better than Magee
Thats the man, he is absolutely hilarious...and McAuley is a perfect foil. As constantly demonstrated on here, talking bollocks is part and parcel of the whole sport and it should be encouraged, people take boxing way too seriously :thumbsup
I think all 3 can be insightly and make decent points. However for the big (PPV) fights they just go into gravvy train mode and fail to put anything in context and generally waffle.
Johnny Nelson died on his arse after the recent Matthew Hatton fight when he said he thought that Hatton had it by 5 rounds. IMO he was just blowing smoke up the arse of both brothers so as not to wind them up and lose any future big bills that Ricky puts on. I can't take him seriously after that.
As Sky is at the moment the only likely outlet for any of Hattons promotions I would have thought it prudent for the smoke to be being blown in the opposite direction.
That would be a nice way to send a Friday or Saturday night. But I think Skys problem here might be for example last Fridays fight night was one of the worst in recent memory, so Sky might not want a full hour of disgruntled punters phoning in and sending complain e-mails about a show such as that. Bad, bad PR man.:-( But its a ****ing blinder of an idea:thumbsup
A show with live calls is a good idea, but most uk panelists couldn't handle it . Emails & texts would result in the same old stuff - pick & choosing what to read out, allowing Bunce, Woodhall et al to just talk complete nonsense.
