providing Haye beats ruiz first ofcourse,i gather.

"WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko has reportedly reached a preliminary agreement to fight British WBA champion David Haye.

The Ukrainian successfully defended his world title on Saturday with a unanimous points victory against previously unbeaten American challenger Kevin Johnson.

Haye earned the WBA belt after beating Russian Nikolay Valuev in November and must next fight mandatory challenger John Ruiz before he can face Klitschko.

"In the near future I plan to fight Haye and take the title," Klitschko was quoted as saying by Ukrainian daily Fakty.

Haye, who the media have reported will take on Ruiz in March or April, revealed last month he is hoping for a "mega-showdown" against Klitschko, whose younger brother Wladimir holds the WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight belts."

    Getting me SO EXCITED!!!!!:bbb

    Is Haye's hand better?

Shouldn't he be looking to get Ruiz out of the way as soon as?

I've seen no confirmation for that fight.

I guess that's a formality, he needs to make the fight, so there'll be purse bids possibly since it's a mandatory. Plus, Haye will need to confirm his hand's healed before signing the fight.

oh sorry, no confirmation for that as yet either but it pretty much looks set for march/april time and the way Haye has been talking if he doesn't fight Ruiz next he will be stripped of the title...so pretty sure it will be confirmed

I never like it when fighters have an opponent lined up for a fight after their next one! We all know he will fight one of them but Id rather it wasnt mentioned until after the Ruiz fight (if he takes care of him).

Agreed, especially when that opponents Ruiz he has a habit of spoiling things, think what you like of him but he's a stubborn tough to beat guy, he's held that WBA title how many times?

Anyway I'll get excited about Haye fighting a Klit when it's all confirmed, I've got excited too many times already.

I would love to see this fight.

I still think that Haye would run on the back foot and counter like he did with Valuev, and then feel the power, and regress and get beaten down and knocked out by Vitali.

Atleast he talks the game and would build excitement, its a shame about the reality of his lack of chin and lack of power.
