Saad Muhammad v Lopez 1. Everybody mentions their second fight, which was a great tear up,but the first one was brilliant too. Saad actually displayed a lot of skill in this one. He's most known nowadays for soaking up punishment, and handing it back. In his earlier days,he proved that he could box too.

But not to forgotten. :good Hey mate, a dude on this site has the full program of MAB vs Morales 1 in excellent quality. He's listed as very rare on his list though so I doubt he's gonna trade with me. If he does, I can hook you up.

Yes indeed. It would be so much better rthan hearing Lampley kissing ass on the HBO fighters or making any exchange of punches sound like Zale and Graziano are teaming up again. People would make up their own minds. I usually turn the sound off and listen to music anyway, but I miss the crowd noises.:rasta

Iran Barkley vs Eddie Hall was a helluva fight. I remember at some point in the fight, I think it was the 5th round, both men landed left hooks on each other at the same time and nearly knocked each other out! Both men were staggered and yet they went right back at each other within seconds even though they were still seeing tweety birds and stars, great stuff.

Antonio Avelar vs Wilfredo Vasquez was another barnburner of a fight, lots of great exchanges between both men and the 5th round is one of the best action rounds I have ever seen bar none. Avelar dropped Vasquez hard with a left hook not even twenty seconds into the round and had him in big trouble, then as he backed him into the ropes and started unloading on him Avelar attempted a lead right uppercut from afar which missed and resulted in him getting nailed flush on the chin by a counter right hand from Vasquez which floored him heavily into the ropes and nearly out of the ring.

He took the 8 count on unsteady legs and as soon as the ref waived Vasquez in he pounced on him with a furious two fisted attack and was landing some vicious punches on Avelar who was trying to fight back courageously but was getting beaten to the punch. However after about a minute of Vasquez teeing off on Avelar he suddenly roared back and spun himself off the ropes and had Vasquez in the same spot he was and started winging in bombs left and right until the end of the round as both men were trying to flatten the other with every punch.

Another underrated classic imo is Ralph Tiger Jones vs Tony Baldoni, a real slugfest from start to finish that one was. Benny Paret vs Charley Scott II is another terrific fight as well, Paret looked real good in that fight and put it all together in a great performance and a real toe to toe affair. The Paret of the two Scott fights would have given a much better account of himself vs his nemesis Griffith, he showed a lot of discipline and patience and picked his punches beautifully, shame he couldn`t fight that way all the time.
