Oh really? This last atrocity was maybe the worst in a long time and maybe "massacre" is too big of a word. But people get killed here in the philippines on a daily basis take for instance: 1) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IUbzPVMCHU[/ame] 2) Immensely high crime rate, poverty is high, people are desperate everywhere. People dying by violence everywhere. Especially after Ondoy. 3) Over a hundred people dying due to mismanagement after and before Ondoy. Depleting a 1 billion peso calamity fund on trips abroad? That's dining over the lives of the people they are so used to robbing. Of course you can't expect anything else from a president that openly admits rigging the elections with the tapes to prove it, and who is still in power. The same president that declared days after the recent massacre that the clan responsible for killing 60 innocent people, will always be her friends. I look at this country with a westerners eyes and this country is neither a true democracy , nor does the government mean well for the people. If they would, they would have stimulated good education for everyone. It's just easier to keep robbing from the people if you do not educate them. Maybe he term massacre was a little too strong, but if you add up the number of violent and unnecessary deaths every day, yes together that makes a massacre, on a daily basis.
He rocked, and split Concepcion with the left upper early but busted his left hand. The panamanian didn't even make weight had atleast 10 lbs on Runito.
yawn..nobody talks about the armenian holocaust of the early 20th century cause all the jews took the limelight when it comes to atrocities. Armenians are some tough motherf*ckers. I heard they and Turks do not mix. And they got a pretty good college basketball coach who used to slaughter everyone in their way.
The Donaire-Concepcion fight essentially, was a fight between a superflyweight (Donaire, 115 during the weigh-in) and a superbantamweight (Concepcion, 119+) and Concepcion outweighed Donaire by at least 10 lbs at fight night. Donaire outboxed and hit Concepcion with everything in his arsenal but could not hurt the bigger fighter so he coasted to a decision victory. As to the Darchinyan fight, Donaire had been hitting him consistently with the counter until the KO in the 5th round, it's far from being "Donaire got lucky". Vic simply didn't fight smart and IMHO, had not shown much improvement in his succeeding fight and if there's any indication about how the rematch will proceed, it will be another KO win for Donaire.
I think he was just trying to humor some members here. No chin yan is a taglish phrase meaning "he has no chin"
It was a superflyweight fight and not bantamweight. Donaire made the weight while Concepcion came 4 lbs over, so essentially, it was a fight between a superfly and superbantam. Concepcion actually outweighed Donaire by more than 10 lbs during the fight, Nonito deserves some credit for getting a win against a much bigger opponent.
I admire Vic Darchinyan for wanting this rematch. This is a fight I would really like to see. In my personal opinion, I don't think Darchinyan has much of a chance in this fight. I think Nonito Donaire has his number and will knock him out again. I will be rooting for Vic though. He should definitely be considered the underdog in this fight, but I hope he gets redemption. Though I won't be upset if Donaire wins. I mean, he is a class act in boxing and a top ten pound-for-pound fighter. I hope this fight happens.
Here's a rumour for you boys: Vic to rematch Nonentity Donaire in the first week of May next year in Sydney as the co-main event / chief support to the Bernard Hopkins v Danny Green fight. Both fights to be televised on Showtime. You heard it here first.
Unfortunately, it has something to do with the politics. It is not something the general public is used to either. The whole country was in shock when this happened. Good thing the elections are near, and the people have a chance to change things. Hopefully:yep It is how it is because of the people in power. Most just doesnt care anymore and live their lives as they please. This sad incident happened in a remote place where it is widely known to be "a not so very safe place to be." And is a very poor town ruled by clans and dynasties.
No way that it is going to happen. Two major fights in one single card in Sydney. Major fights is scarcier in Sydney than rain in Sahara. The biggest fight involving a marquee boxer ever was with RJJ vs. Danny Green. It simply does not make economic sense. If you are the promoter, why would you put two big fights in one card when you can put two big fights in two cards and people will still pay to see it.
