The guy is 45 years old and still doing it like a 30 year old. Where does he rank ATG not only as a Middleweight but as an ATG p4p fighter?

To me he's Top 20 ATG.

The guy is phenomonal and wins over Tito, Oscar, Wright, Tarver, Pavlik, Johnson etc are ultra impressive. It's also the manner of these victories. He dominated these guys, many times as an underdog!

A prime and almost superhuman Jones is the only fighter to defeat him cleanly. His other defeats (pro debut aside) are questionable.

Top 20 for me and a total legend!

One of the Best middleweight of all time, very dedicated even at this age, more than 20+ title defenses, won linear Lt Heavy championship.

I would say within top 20-50 ATG

Top40, perhaps Top35. The only ones ranking clearly ahead of him in the last 20 years are Whitaker and Pacquiao.

    Top 20 ATG for me

    1 SRR
    2 ALI
    3 Henry Armstrong
    4 Joe Louis
    5 Roberto Duran
    6 Willie Pep
    7 Jack Dempsey
    8 Rocky Marciano
    9 Jack Johnson
    10 Archie Moore
    11 Jake Lamotta
    12 Mike Tyson
    13 Sugar Ray Leonard
    14 Marvin Hagler
    15 Thomas Hearns
    16 George Foreman
    17 Joe Frazier
    18 Evander Holyfield
    19 Julio Cesar Chavez
    20 Pernell Whitaker

That's my Top 20 for me of course, you can make a case for Manny Pacquiao being in the top 10 after beating Cotto and if he beats Floyd easily top 5, as for B-HOP i like him anywhere within 20-30 or 30-40 definitely a true Legend!!

Do you not feel that Frazier and Hearns lack the big wins to be in the top 20? Frazier winning the FOTC might throw him in the mix and I suppose Hearns beat Duran and Leonard in the rematch (scoring aside)!

Just think Hopkins success rate against great opposition would elevate him above both!

He doesn't rank highly. Top 100? Maybe just.

Tell me who the best fighter he beat was, and where that fighter ranks in the division Hopkins fought them at? Not impressive, is it?

Plus he has weak performances against Taylor, during his latter year prime, Calzaghe, Jones, even De La Hoya.

The weakest dominant middleweight champion in history. In different circumstances, he would have been a footnote.

You maybe right but sometimes you don't have to win to be rated higher, sometimes IMO the quality of your fights win or lose gets you over the hump if you know what i mean, like for example Frazier and Hearns have had more exciting and quality fights than B-Hop, I know B-Hop had more title defenses and wins etc..

Don't get me wrong though, B-HOP is a true legend ATG and is within top 30

    Please...

Hopkins resume isn't close to Frazier's. He doesn't have a win like Quarry on his resume, never mind the fact Frazier beat one of the best ever. The thing with Frazier is, his prime lasted two fights and he had a short career. Head to head, the guy was an animal at his peak. Short career but it was better than Hopkins'.

A win like Quarry? You're kidding right?

Quarry was a good fighter but nowhere near great. Are we saying Hopkins has never beaten a great fighter? Come off it for **** sake!

You clearly just dont like the guy to have such a low opinion. That **** is insane?
