dude I'm really starting to like the cut of your jib !

Its really unfair how one guy can be branded a cheat for the wraps ( which could be very dangerous ) and guys who get done for roids ( whch surely could be equally dangerous to the opponent ) get a pass !

tell you something else everyone assumed the wraps were present in the Cotto fight becasue of the way Cotto looked at the end , but Manny more or less did the same thing to him , does that cast a doubt over wether the wraps were screwy in the cotto fight ??

Mosley admitted injecting himself with EPO before fighting De La Hoya and so far all of his lawsuits have been chucked out.

    ???????????????????????????????????????????

Using steriods is NOT in anway close to being as dangerous as a professional prizefighter loading his wraps with plaster

    Steriods = cheating

    Loading wraps = attemted murder

Also the CSAC official who confiscated the wraps reported at the hearing there was blood staines on the wraps and who did Marg the chetio fight previously ???? I rest my case

    What?!?!

You think the 'bloodstains' on Margo's wraps were from Cotto's busted up face in the previous fight that somehow made their way through Margo's leather glove outer, inner padding and wraps, to the alleged plaster-like substance within his wrapping?

EPO was not banned at the time

Steriods do not equal Plaster in gloves BTW!

I disagree , if one guy is utterly knackered late in the fight and the other guy is still fresh thanks to drug use then thats for me in fact more dangerous

Almost all of the ring deaths have come after long gruelling fights so if one guy is still doing heavy damage late in the fight due to being helped by stamina boosting drugs he is endangering his opponent more than if he had iffy wraps. The dodgy wraps just do more "obvius" damage.

Also I wasnt saying they werent questionable in the Cotto fight only that a lot of folks used the state Cotto was in at the end to "confirm" for themselves that Marg definetley cheated but Pac just left him in a similar state so surely that throws soem doubt ?

I was a firm believer that Margarito used illegal wraps against Cotto, but after seeing how Pacquiao did more damage to Cotto than Margarito did, I am having second thoughts since we know Pacquiao did not use illegal wraps.

Should he get a second chance? I believe if someone is up front, honest, and truly sorry for what they did, then they deserve a chance at redemption. However, I have not seen that from Margarito. He has not confessed that he did anything wrong. He keeps to the story of him not knowing what his trainer was doing, which is completely unbelievable. We know about the illegal hand wraps against Mosley because he got caught. However, we cannot completely prove that he used illegal hand wraps against Cotto, or Cintron for that matter. We can speculate, but we can't prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If Margarito were to confess his crime, admit his guilt, and ask for forgiveness from the bottom of his heart, I would be willing to give him a second chance. If he were given that chance, he would have to be as dominant as he was before the scandal and show his gloves and wraps to the camera after every fight. Cotto has already said he would not fight Margarito again, but perhaps a rematch against Clottey would be a good big name to take on.

In any event, unless Margarito admits his crime and begs forgiveness, he should not be given a chance at redemption.

Also, to compare steroid use to illegal hand wraps, the hand wraps crime is much worse in my view. Mosley admitted to using steroids, and never hurt anyone badly. Correct me if I am wrong, but Vargas used steroids in his fight with De La Hoya, and got beat up and sent to the hospital by the Golden Boy. James Toney got caught with steroids after his victory over Ruiz and got stripped if I recall correctly, yet he continued to fight afterwards. I believe it is more damaging to get punched in the head with a brick than to get punched in the head by a regular fist on steroids.

How many of you guys have watched margarito, and enjoyed watching his fights, i wouldnt rate as high as attempted murder, he shouldnt of done it, but he did what he could to win, i know it was outside the rule's, but anybody who admits what they have done and served the punishment which suits there crime should be allowed to work again, boxer or not

    Lol, what?

Yeah I guess that's why Mosley claims that he didn't know what the substance was and tried to sue Conte when he said he told him exactly what it was, because it was perfectly legal :nut

I agree admitting his error is important

but tell me this getting hit with say

100 Newtons of force with a tampered wrap

    or

150 Newtons of force without ( estimated power gain through roids ! )

you cant say one is worse than the other !

Idiots like you just go off topic all the time. The punishment for loading your gloves has been a lifetime ban. Why is Margocheater any different. For anyone who says the offenses are equal. lets have a fight you can take all the 'roids or illegal substances you want, i will put plaster in my gloves and we will see which is worse.
