x2 As I said on another thread, it's really time to put up or shut up for Limond and his team. I've said before on here that I think Limond is oft overlooked and deserves his shot but that's not true anymore. You can't complain about being a forgotten man if you pass up chances like this. Does he back himself as a top contender or not? Because if he doesn't take this chance he can't expect another one and whinge about 'deserving' it.
LOL do you remember that programme? Talk about funny. Jamsie, Mary, the little kids, etc. Beat it! LOL see you Rab!
Alright Lads, just to clear things up on this subject, it wasnt that i didnt want this fight, they just offered poor terms for it, i mean i got more money 4 or 5 years ago when i fought for the EU title over 10 rounds against someone no where near as good as Kevin, i dont mind taking risks, but to accept their offer would have been stupid on my part.
he he he ***** ....................... slapped ! On the subject , none of us know whats going on his head but he's 30 years old , must know he hasnt got all that long left so the chances that hes going to make a retirable fortune from this probably seems unlikely to him now. Having been in the postion of self employment some jobs are just too big to pass up , I'm sure the decision wasnt taken lightly but this is the guys liveliehood were talking about. It sucks no doubt, but I'm sure no ones more ****ed off about it than Willie himself !
Fair play mate. Would have loved to see you give it a go but at the same time you fully deserve to get paid. You never know maybe they'll raise the bar. Good luck with whatever your up to at the moment. Nice one for posting as well!:thumbsup
Thanks for posting Willie. A good fight with Kevin on the back of his career best showing would lead to bigger and better things though, no? What alternative route are you going to take?
haha i knew something would be on here about it, i couldnt believe the bit in the sun today, i havent even spoke to anyone in the papers, well until i read that today, but of course i would av quit working if the offer was decent, but it wasnt.
i really dont know mate, when they asked me i said yes, then about an hour later they told me the deal and i said no, we were miles off! but really dont know where i go from here boxing wise, it was on the tip of my tongue to just say **** it yes, but i couldnt, anyway i got a xmas night out on saturday so im just gonna get pissed now!!
i need to go lads, im going to a wee amatuer boxing exhibition just now, but al pop back on later to see whats getting said about me!! haha, Kevs a quality fighter in my opinion so i believe the fight is worth a lot more
At this time of year and with the recession and with the country ready to go into meltdown next year I think Willie making sure he has money in his pocket is a good idea.
