My God, woman. Your tongue is as agile as your boxing knowledge runs deep -- and no, I don't mean it in that way.

I swear, women are like condoms. They're either on your dick or in your wallet.

Yeah. I started this thread asking a sincere question, but if "Shake" wants to act like a dumbass I'll treat him like a dumbass. It isn't my fault that he was born with a dick the size of a raisin and passes off a big **** turd for what he calls his face. :good

Tua did once say that he copied Rocky Marciano's style but I have never heard of him claiming that he copied Tyson.

Thanks for providing an answer. You have class, and I like that. :)
When did Tua say that? Is it in an interview or article online somewhere? :think

I had the chance to watch Tua spar quite a bit coming out of the olympics. He was just such a naturally hard puncher, that many of the sparring partners would stop when they got hit, especially to the body. They would start him with a bigger guy and put smaller guys in with him in the later rounds. One thing I always saw was what came out in a lot of his fights, and that was he would plod and allow himself to be outboxed at range if his opponent tried to keep the fight there. When guys tried to come at him like Ruiz, Wilson and Ibeabuchi, it showcased how good and explosive he could be.
In contrast Tyson would spar like his fights, as soon as the bell rang he would touch gloves and bombs away. Tyson would flatten guys in sparring and then another guy would come in. He always tried to close gap and didnt allow himself to get stuck on the outside, and thats probably why even the fighters he faced with decent jabs couldnt maintain the distance from the outside.
I always thought Tua would have benefitted from more of an agressive style, but he never had the elusiveness of Tyson coming forward. He didnt move his upper body as much and tried to block punches with his gloves, which was not as effective as slipping and countering.

I think that Tyson would have had a fairly easy time with Tua's opponents until he runs into Lennox Lewis, who would beat mike, but find it a bit harder than he did in 2002. Tua would probably beat most of Mike's guys, but would lose to a 1987 version of Tony Tucker, and the Tokyo Buster Douglas.

I see what you mean, though Tyson was a lot faster than Tua and had more lateral head and shoulder movement.

tua does not copy tyson's style. he fights way cleaner and i saw fights of each one of them.
tua may have lost some decisions in tyson's era , but tyson will have gotten stopped in tua's era as well. remember : the klitschkos also were in tua's era.
and while a prime tyson did have a realistic chance against a prime lewis , lewis had about the same chance against him. also tua would have stopped each one of the men who stopped tyson except lewis and maybe douglas and mcbride too. but many of the men who stopped tyson are not considerred parts of his era despite him being actually younger than them.
so , while tua may have lost some decisions , he would not have ended the way tyson ended in his defeats. so those who claim that tyson is that much superior to tua , they :
    1. consider wins and ignore losses
    2. also ignore the nature of those wins and losses.
    3. which (also) includes ignoring the foul tactics of tyson and the lack of the use of them by tua.

Listen, Grandpa. I don't care if you're not a fan of me. In case you didn't notice, "Shake" took a shot at me first. He threw the first insult. I already said, "if you wanna act like a dumbass, I'll treat you like a dumbass." He threw the first punch. Go back and read the thread. A lot of people said that his first insult was harsh. A lot of people. If you're gonna lecture anyone, lecture him. He damn sure ain't no gentlemen. Go back and read. I just asked a sincere question in this thread and got attacked by him for it. I don't need a lecture about how old baboonis like you used to roast stale hot dogs during World War 1. So shut up, k? Go back to your nursing home and get a room with John McCain. :dead

If Tyson fought in an era without Don King. He would have been an ATG.
