Still a fascinating character at 52, probably has a ton of war stories from his time in the Black Spades on.
Because he was always going on about homosexuality, and look at the clips of him ripping his top off in front on men and flexing his muscles, I think he even kissed his biceps. These are clear indicators of him being a homosexual. Not that it effects his worth as a fighter at all, I'm just saying his image was strictly gay gangsta.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KPZnlTcwvw[/ame] Very very gay. Below is very gay too. At 3:35 to 4:10 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5QzpNqiLOA&feature=related[/ame] I think the mustached white guy on his left is probably a boyfriend. The way they touch each other at 4:02 to 4:08 is wrong. The whole thing is undeniable ***gotry.
I think its a cultural thing and you probably arent use to seeing blacks act like that in England. You see crazy brothers like that in the US all the time, that arent Gay. Im sure most Americans would agree with me. I think early in his career he showed alot of talent, but by the time he fought Tyson he was pretty much done with taking boxing serious, and just a crazy guy with a good chin.
Mitchell was a competent proffessional , good enough to take a fight with former WBC champion Trevor Berbick and box quite capably .. Tyson was hot property when they boxed and Mike didn't honetsly hurt him during the fight... It was a long hard war in which the worlds best heavyweight at the time was extended by the crafty Green, not bad for a man you stated was crap as a pro... Green was a solid pro and a legendary amateur heavyweight at the time.. so skilled it was untrue......
Any man who rips off his top, kisses his biceps and chants the word "homo" I would say exhibits signs of gayness. Yeah, it might be cultural, but many strains of gayness are cultural. Black American culture has more than its fair share of homosexuality. I dont know or care to what actual extent Mitch Green was gay. Either way, his behaviour is gay. His image was gay. Of course, an image is mostly a matter of perception. Lots of people and styles from the 1980s are more obviously gay now than they were to me at the time. But I have no problem with that. I only mentioned it because someone posted the video. Live and let live.
