Having to head butt your opponent all night hardly qualifies as a great win. Ward is a cheat, simple. JC didn`t have to lower himself into the gutter like Ward when he beat Kesller fair and square, with a neutral ref. Monumental FAIL CASH!! :hi:

Unified 168 champ, held the Ring title at two divisions simultaneously, retired as a top P4P fighter, 9-0 vs current, former, or future champs...I can see how I'd have alot to be sour about. :rofl:lol:

If Kessler was a real champ he'd have persevered instead of complaining about the "hometown ref". Clash of heads happen sometimes. Man up.

But, this along with Danny Green's one round stoppage over Jones, definitely shook up Calzaghe's legacy.

Calzaghe fans are obviously pleased with Calzaghe's top 5 wins looking like

BHop (Controversial SD) - But Calzaghe Fans like to believe BHop was in his prime, and there was no need for a rematch

Kessler (schooled by Ward) - But Calzaghe fans like to believe Ward Cheated, and no way Kessler would have lost to Ward despite being out worked most the fight

Lacy: (a consensus amongst everyone he was a hypejob) - But Calzaghe fans like to believe, Jeff Lacy wasn't a hypejob, but a HOF

Eubank: (Chris was expected to lose) - But Calzaghe fans like to believe Calzaghe destroyed a prime Eubank, and beat the HOF who wasn't shot

RJJ: (Consensus amongst everyone he was shot and expected to lose) - But Calzaghe fans like to say, Joe beat the greatest boxer of the 90's and made him bleed. RJJ wasn't shot, and JC also said RJJ is still fast

Calzaghe, and his fans, and his dad like to believe that those 5 top wins are amongst the greatest when compared to other fighters top 5 wins.

I have to agree with your assessment, but he was still a quality fighter.

    Calzaghe >>>>>>> Ward/Hopkins/Kessler

it is really simple - that is why Joe is the most talked about boxer on this forum (along with Pac and Money).

Give Ward some time......he already fought the quality guy it took JC till his late 30's to fight.
