I find Big Reg's take a little peculiar considering he contemptuous history of criticizing Cotto.

Somehow I suspect that this has more less to do with Mayweather that it does with Cotto.

Reg, I'm impressed you've been able to get this thread to 8 pages.

Same here, in fact I remember Reg saying that Cotto looked healthy a day before the weigh in so like you said it is a little peculiar.

I remember that thread, I thought it was clear that I was being facetious. I don't know how me saying Cotto was drained at the weigh in is peculiar. I'm not making excuse or discrediting anyone. Pacquiao is a better fighter than Cotto, is a stylistic nightmare for him, and would beat him no matter what the weight. That doesn't mean that Cotto didn't have to strain to make that 145 lb. limit.

The world does not revolve around Mayweather. If anything, I would be claiming that Cotto wasn't drained if I were just trying to make Floyd look better. Think about it, if Cotto was perfectly fine and Pac whooped his ass, that makes Pac look better. That in turn would make a Mayweather victory over Pac look better.

Reg is a loudmouth blowhard know-it-all whose arrogance prevents him from remembering his previous statements, hence his reactive statements followed by pages of backtracking and spinning.

He's fun to **** with :yep

For the record, I actually support Cotto going or not. It is his right. He knows what is best for him. It is just a b-day party no matter who it is. My previous post was just an argument to those people that the invitation was something to 'rub it in' when in fact it is exact opposite.

For once, Cotto actually looked healthy during the weigh-in which is in contrast to his usual frail, spent appearance during his prior weigh-ins.

He then came out and fought a sharp first round and later was able to stay on his toes and use a tremendous amount of movement late in the fight after taking a lot of punishment.

Therefore the argument that he was drained comes off as an excuse and also comes off as suspicious.

And as you've stated already you believe Pac fought well enough to win under any circumstances which makes this whole thing rather moot, so I have to ask, what are your intentions here?
