I can't remember that far back but I always had the idea that Prince Naseem and the Pioneer had a fair bit in common.
That is, a good bit of ability and hand speed, the constant assertion that they were the best of all time but most importantly, an extraordinary gift for asserting all this whilst avoiding any of the good fighters of the era.
Am I wrong about the Prince? I know I'm not wrong about the Pioneer. (and yes, yes. both had plenty of ability, but.....)

Make an even bigger man of yourself and explain. What was it exactly?

    Enjoy.

Don't look at one fight, when he had wasted his talent away cos of reading his own press clippings. There were some mediocre defences made but along the way he also beat a lot of the top feathers of his time, including Vasquez, Johnson and Kelley

The doco of his lead up to the Barrera fight is must see viewing. Phil just nailed it, started to believe the hype and got schooled, and was never able to recover from it.

The segment over the argument of the gloves is cringeworthy. Didn't mind him back in the day but am glad Barrera got the win, and bounced his head on the corner turnbuckle for good measure.

Yep, I know he was better than the Barrera fight. Like I said, my memory is just what it is.
Appreciate the reminder re. Vazquez etc.
I love the turnbuckle thing too. And the MMA style takedown earlier on when Hameed tries to tie it up and pull Barerra down.

Regarding the vid posting: I think it's the site. I tried (the usual way) of posting the embed code. No good. So I just pasted the link and it embedded. Go figure.
