Just b/c someone accuses someone else of doing something illegal doesn't mean you have to prove yourself. What if someone accused you of a crime without any facts or proof? Would you go through rigorous testing and interrogations voluntarily when you knew you were innocent? For me I'd say **** off!

This is amazing. Most sports fans are all for more rigorous drug testing in sports. For some reason, many on this forum are against such testing in what is one of the most physical sports around.

I've no problem with drug testing by an offical sanctioning body, I just have a problem with drug tests being implemented at the behest of a **** talking junkie.

Which is a completely different subject to the one you started this thread about.

  5. If they're gonna overhaul the sport and subject all boxers to this type of extreme scrutiny, I wont object to it. But it's really not logistical and there is no reason PAC should be singled out just because Floyd's dad started spreading rumors.

Seriously, it doesnt make much difference. That sort of testing costs trillions of dollars in lab fees etc, and the athletes no how to get around it - just make yourself unavailable at "peak doping" times etc.

Well, if someone accused me of a crime and then asked me to take a polygraph and answer questions, I would have no problem doing it. That's of course if I did nothing wrong. The last time I checked, I didn't that long to draw some blood. It's a pretty quick process. Hell, they drew blood from me a few months ago at my job for a health screening. It was a pretty quick process and didn't mentally affect me.

Calling Big Floyd a junkie still doesn't take away from what is important here. A lot of rules and sanctions are made by people who are less than perfect.

Let's be real, if Manny doesn't want to get blood tested that's his right. However, it will only provide fuel to the fire in terms of the allegations against him. Right now it's only a few boxers and Big Floyd saying something. If Manny refuses the blood test, it will only become a bigger story. But hey, it's his life. He can do what he wants.

I think that should be the case for ALL! Not just someone who is been unjustly accused without any proof, validity or facts to support the claims. If this Olympic style testing was the industry standard then I'd understand, but this request came from the camp who started the rumors b/c they wanted to discredit Manny in a way to cast a shawdow of doubt over his career.

Pac isn't the only one who will be randomly tested.

    So?

What is important in this thread is the reason a blood test is being asked for a rumour started by someone trying to diminish the accomplishments of his sons biggest rival, and mess with that persons head in pre-fight training.

Yet if manny takes a blood test, so does floyd.

What does manny have to hide?

  15. Some people dont like needles man.

Also, it depends what theyre talking about. Is this random testing or scheduled testing? If it's the former, then that is intrusive. If it's the latter, it won't catch anyone.
