Because taking performance enchancing drugs after the 6 weeks would do no good to a fighter. It wouldn't be in their system long enough.

Taking the test after, the fighters could set up to have it out of their system in time for the test.

That was an April fools type of joke, it was proven to not be true.

I don't think Pacquiao is taking performance enhancing drugs. He was 105 when he was 16, same as Mayweather and is a small wetler/decent sized junior welter at 30, pretty much the same as Floyd. Truth is Manny could have moved up a couple of years earlier as he was already having trouble making the 130 pound limit and was coming in at 144-146 on fight night.

I agree that all fighters should undergo drug testing before all fights. And there are already some rules in place for that. I believe that those rules should be updated frequently to keep up with the PEDs that are on the market.

I disagree that any fighter on any whim should be able to force his opponent to undergo additional drug testing that other fighters don't have to.

Floyd Sr. didn't start anything. He made the rumors more well known because of his name.

Roach has just said something that will have the Floyd camp feeling that the roids allegation is seemingly true. :yep

Floyds camp can not see how pacman has been so successful with his wins over his last four opponents(one of them that Floyd was said to be avoiding-Cotto):deal

Roach has said he wont let his fighter be interfered with 6 weeks before a fight.....Random testing can happen in the middle of the night yes or no??

If i were Roach i would **** with those idiots minds too.:rofl All he has to do is say what he said and look at all the suspicion and intrigue a few seconds of an interview can achieve.......Roach is having a good laugh now i bet:hi:

If this is all true, it isn't like Pac is the only one going to be tested. Floyd Jr. will be tested also and PAc can ask if Floyd Sr. should be tested as well lol.... Pac's vitamin guy might come under fire. After all, his shitty professional boxing record leaves me to ask how he even got with Manny to begin with...

no, but both fighters should be thoroughly tested anyways. I didn't think Margo had plaster in his gloves before the Shane fight, so what we 'think' doesnt matter

If the rumor was that Pac had loaded gloves would people (Roach included) be as opposed to there being a review or inspection to how the hands were wrapped, what is used, and provide samples?? I doubt it. Bringing up where the rumor started, or what the rumor is, is pointless. It doesn't matter where the rumor started or that it is a rumor the only thing that matters is there is a request to have a stricter testing policy for the biggest fight of the decade. Who requested it and why doesn't matter if you truely have nothing to hide. (again i don't think Pac is on PED's) People saying the rumors are casting a shadow on the sport are ridiculous. What would cast a shadow on the sport is if there was any doubt surrounding in the biggest fight in the past decade. Having a failed drug test after the fight would do far more damage to the sport than having two fighters take and pass a test prior to the fight. People need to really put their alliances aside and think about this logically. Stricter policy more concrete outcome. Who cares why, how, when, or any of the other details.

I think he has taken. Roach exposed himself when he won't let Manny take the blood test. Roach said the blood test will affect Manny's training? For god sake Mayweather will be taking a blood test too in which i'm Sure Mayweather don't think a blood test will affect him.
