Floyd is taking a blood test so why can't Manny? Why are people ignoring this?

You guys who maintain that Manny has a responsibility to squash the rumors by submitting to these blood tests are missing an important point. While many of you might consider a blood test an insignificant thing to comply with, it is still an invasive procedure. No matter how small a volume of blood gets drawn, in theory it would still be worse than having no blood taken. Now considering that blood testing isn't a standard procedure that all boxers are currently required to submit to, why should Manny agree to this?

Another thing to consider is that Pac seems to be a superstitious guy. I say this based on the fact that he crosses himself every time he comes out of his corner. Maybe he has a hangup about needles, or thinks losing any blood might make him weaker? Should he submit to an invasive procedure just to entertain the Mayweather's?

It's clear that there is no objection from Pac's camp to have bodily excretions tested. ****, turds, dead skin cells, hair, etc. All can be collected noninvasively and are not crucial to one's performance. Speaking of hair, maybe that's why Floyd shaves his head! He must have something to hide and doesn't want to have his hair tested.:patsch

Suppose Roach made the accusation that Floyd uses designer stimulants during his fights to maintain his stamina and they are delivered via anal suppository. Should Floyd be required to submit to a rectal exam (invasive procedure:shock:) before the fight to disprove his accusers, or should the standard urine test suffice?

Lastly, what does a negative result of any tests Manny takes prove for the haters? Absolutely nothing. The allegation will be that he is on novel PEDs that the tests aren't designed to detect.

Floyd agree to do a blood test on Him. Him and Manny both agree to do it but Roach is the one that don't want it cause he's hiding something. You won't admit to do it cause you're a bandwagon Pacquiao fan. Floyd is going to a test so why can't Manny? If Manny is innocent then TAKE THE BLOOD TEST!!

I'm not ignoring it. I am saying it's uneccesary. If Floyd was the one accused, and Roach wanted a blood test, do you think he'd just say "Sure"?

This is just grandstanding on Floyd's part. WHy hasn't Floyd tried blood work from the very beginning of his career, or even recent fights? Becasue it wasn't required. Just as now.

I'm in a similar situation with Pac. The company I am employed by has a voluntary drug testing program. I don't like having my rights compromised so I have chosen not to participate in the program. As far as I know, the Olympic type testing that team Mayweather proposes is also voluntary for Pac. If Pac. does not participate, I have no problem with it and niether should team Mayweather. Floyd can go ahead with the Olympic type testing on himself, even if Pac. does not participate, and the fight can be fought. If that's not satisfactory for team Mayweather, there are a lot of other fighters out there who would agree to Olympic type testing and Floyd can make a fight with one of them. It would be a done deal then, Manny fights guys under current testing means, and Floyd with his now admirable committment to rid boxing of illegal drugs will only fight with Olympic testing, and once the commissions all adopt Olympic type testing, Floyd will be hearalded as the one who made this great change in boxing.

If the boxing comission of the state where the fight will be staged demands that Pac and all the other fighters take a blood test he should do it,if not he shouldnt its that simple.

I wish Pac would take the test so there are no excuses if he wins.

However, that being said, if he's not required to take the test, he doesn't have to -- and his not taking it may mess with the head of Team Mayweather.

Team Mayweather seems obsessed with this issue, so if Pac just stiffs them on this then maybe it messes with Team Mayweather's heads. In a fight this good, any mental advantage can't hurt.

Floyd is taking the blood test. If Manny is innocent then take it. If Floyd is going to do it then why can't Manny? It's simple if you're (Manny) innocent then proof it by taking a blood test. Floyd is going to do it.

Dude...re-read what I said. I never said Manny cannat do this. I said it's unecessary, since Floyd has never gone this route before and since they DO TEST ALREADY.

Just because you are accused does not mean you say how high when they say jump.

DO you honestly think FLoyd would be cool with a blood test if any opponent suggested it?
