Thu Nov 26 25 minutes jump rope 3x3 shadowboxing 10x3 heavy bag 3x3 shadowboxing 15 minutes cooling down No cycling, drove along with a gym buddy again. Did a very relaxed workout, no machine like intensity today. Talked with everyone and tried not to let the nerves build up. I'll probably do another low intensity workout tomorrow. Didn't do sparring as I got a blood clot on my ear, so the last fighting I do before seeing a doctor is my bout on Saturday.
Unfortunately I lost, he was simply better and I had no answer in the 6 minutes available. I landed some punches, but he landed more and I just did not do enough. Video will be posted later.
Back to training. Took a week off, started again last Monday. Sparred against a pro today, about 5 rounds. He gave me a shiner but I landed my share of punches as well and did extremely well inside. This guy btw. Lots of recent losses but he's better than you'd think. A lot of amateur experience as well. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=078853&cat=boxer
Thats a fine sparring partner to have and looking at his losses......opponents have a BIG win ratio even if they have ( i dunno ) been padded. Also gone the rounds with all of them bar one. Good luck with the next fight.
I'll update the log daily again until January 10th, my next fight. Sat Dec 12 10 mile walk Sun Dec 13 6.2 mile cycle 10 minutes jump rope 20x2 sparring 10 minutes stretch 6.2 mile cycle
Mon Dec 14 6.2 mile cycle 10 minutes jump rope 6x3 shadowboxing 12x3 heavy bag 10 minutes cooling down 6.2 mile cycle
Wed Dec 16 6.2 mile cycle 20x2 sparring 5 minutes cooling down 4 miles cycle 2.2 miles walk Had a flat tire so I had to walk the last few miles in the snow :|
I'm snowed in so I can't get to the gym. Public transit is out of duty, and cycling there would not be smart in almost half a meter snow. I'm thinking about attempting a run later in the evening. Temperature will be down to minus 10 by then I guess.
It was -51 celcius here just a few days ago! so minus 10 shouldn't be too bad if your used to that weather.
