1. Hatton, Jones. Both knocked out multiple times.

2. Khan, Linares. Knocked out once so far.

 

If we were allowed to include MMA fighters into the monthly rankings im sure they would DOMINATE it.

Obviously Amir Khan is the current champion from 2008 after the Prescott KO.

As for the Glass Jaw of 2009 there are several contenders:

Jorge Linares - Brutally KO'd and exposed
Victor Ortiz - also a quitter
Oleg Maskaev - How many times now ?
Jermain Taylor - KO'd TWICE in 2009
Ricky Hatton - Must be brain damaged after the Pac KO as he thinks he was winning the fight

However for me there are 2 clear standout candidates

Enzo Maccarinelli - Brutally KO'd twice in 2009 and once by someone with only FIVE ko's

and Roy Jones Jr.

I must admit I had doubted before whether Roy's chin was indeed totally glass, but this year has confirmed it beyond doubt.

It's a tough decision but I gotta go with Roy.

im quite suprised taylor has only popped up once, but he is loved on here! gotta be enzo for me coz of the not big names he lost to....unfair to say jones for me because he shouldnt even be fighting now! old boy.

 

This glass jaw thing confuses me.

Basically, we as fans want to see good fighters. By extension, we like to see good fighters fighting good fighters. Unsurprisingly, these fighters, in the act of boxing, sometimes get punched by the trained puncher in the opposite corner and get KO'd.

We then label them as glass jawed and deride them for it.

I mean, some guys just can't take a punch and are wobbled on frequent occaisions, I get that. But this obsession for verbally dismantling fighters for getting in the ring and having the balls to take a shot (unlike, say, Kingpin) is a bit weird.

Grow the **** up.
