I don't know much about MMA, more of a boxing man, but I do watch the UFC and am quite interested in learning more about MMA. I watched some highlights videos of Fedor's brother, and he looks like an excellent fighter himself. How do you think he would do in the UFC? Think he would beat Lesnar? Mir? Carwin? Nogueira? Velasquez? I think a prime Nogueira could beat him, but I'm not sure about the current version. Other than that, I could see Aleksander cleaning up the UFC. Thoughts?
The only one on that list that would beat him is nog. Alexander packs a mean punch and is fearless. Prime cro cop cleaned his clock though.
he'd do great but he's not allowed to fight in the ufc (i think)...because he's got a criminal record.

as a matter of fact , based on his record , you'll notice that he only fought in japan , russia , holland , netherlands...but never in america
I am aware there are problems regarding hepatitis and links to the Russian Mafia etc that might stop him fighting in the US, but the thread is more of a hypothetical about how he would do if he were in the UFC, not a debate on whether he could fight in it or not.
I knew about him doing time. I just can't believe the ufc has to have people with clean criminal backgrounds.
Alek would do well but lets not get carried away with anything this is a guy who has been blown out in his 3 biggest fights.
Who knows? The longer hes in the wilderness the more difficult to predict. These threads come up every few months. The usual answer is; he'd be amonst the best but likely won't fight in the UFC anytime soon.
Aleks could tap Brocks chin with that sweet chin music thats real! Legit threat to ANY heavy in the UFC. I want to see him sign with Strikeforce though.
Tend to agree, though I'd like to see an outsider go into the UFC and show how weak some of those top contenders are right now.

I do not think he trains/fights enough to do "well" anywhere. He is basically pissing away his prime. Not suprising; By most accounts the guy is a real jerk. Him and Fedor are nothing alike.
Difficult to say, he's hasn't competed at the top level for so long its impossible to say where he is as a fighter. Hes apparently been training boxing for a while for what thats worth. Anyway, even at his best I see Carwin as a bad style matchup for him.
