When AA had the title he had the luxury of hiding behind his guard and making people come to him. Wave them in with his rope-a-dope. Dirrell doesn't have to play this game. He needs to go in and throw enough punches to win the round and them make AA come forward and open up so HE can counter. He doesn't have to hit anything but gloves if he is the only one throwing. I'm tired of AA getting away with making the other guy make the fight and his opponents getting no credit for making a fight happen. Paint dries, grass grows. Who cares?
Dirrell fought the perfect fight against Froch. Outboxed him 1-8, then put it on him in the championship rounds and nearly KO'd him If not for the fight being in Europe and a stupid ref, Dirrell wins that fight easy. In the USA nobody would have given Froch more then 3-4 rounds max Abraham gives up rounds like candy. A gunshy scared Taylor won atleast 4 rounds. And that was just popping the jab. Im supremely confident that if Dirrell doesnt get caught, he wins wide
Don't get me wrong, I like Dirrell a lot and I will be pulling for him to win. He has tons of talent, good power, amazing boxing skills but zero confidence and I'm just afraid he gets caught by 7 or so, we'll see. He may suprise us doubters.
