I not Bertos greatest fan, however a 38 yr old Mosley coming off a year long break is gonna have some major problems with Berto. This kid is very very fast for a WW and its going to be intriguing to see how Mosley deals with this. 50-50 fight IMO. Berto Pts or Mosley KO Its going to be highly entertaining for sure :good A terrific 1st big fight for 2010
Thats exactly what I'm saying, he had a great win over Margo but that was a while ago now, and on top of that he is 38. Also, he's very un-predictable with his performances, we dont know which Shanes going to turn up! I do love Mosley, but I have this feeling Berto's going to pull of a shocker.
Mosley's one of my fav fighters of the last 15 yrs, but I fear he may get old overnight in this one. Hope I'm wrong and he's got 2 great performances left in him. Ps. Question for mryeags what the **** is THAT in your avvy???
Agree. I've thought for a while that Shane is inconsistent. I'm not a huge fan of Berto but if Shane's not on form Berto could squeak out a decision. Shane might have a problem getting up for this one.
:good I couldn't agree more!! This is a fantastic start to the year. I simply cannot see how this fight can be anything but a "Belter". And it is a close one to call. As many have said before me, it depends on which Shane turns up! Which means that making a prediction for this fight is difficult. I wonder how the British bookies/Betfair have this fight? I would guess that Sugar Shane will be the favourite but how strong a favourite? I'm off to find out!!.
I was kinda hoping they'd show the Lopez - Gamboa doubleheader the week before but I reckon that'd be stretching it a little bit. You never know though.
Berto will beat Mosley. Mosley's resume above LW is ridiculously overrated. Once you discount the second De La Hoya fight (and I can't imagine anyone would argue that we shouldn't discount it given Mosley's admission that he used performance enhancing drugs preparing for it), all is left is one disputed SD over DLH, five defeats to Forrest, Wright and Cotto, a couple of wins over Vargas and a handful of 'decent' victories over the likes of an overrated Margarito (especially given that Margarito's previous victories must be considered somewhat dubious), shot Mayorga and people like Collazo and Riveria.
