Watch Hopkins vs. Morrade Hakkar, you'll love it.

I repeat no one outside of the UK thinks this is acceptable. The ref should have warned him and DQ him for refusing to fight.[/quote]

Should of disqualified Valuev for not being able to land a punch.

Did you like that fight? Was it a display of great defensive boxing off the back foot? :think

I wasn't particularly enthralled by Haye/Valuev. Did I say I was? Nor by Hopkins/Hakkar (well I assume I wasn't but have pretty much erased it from my memory) or Froch/Dirrell.

I didn't spend the months after crying over any of them though....

In that case I have no idea why you were defending him. It was a disgrace, there's no two ways about it.

Neither did I, I just like to engage in discussions about it.

Why the double standard.....?....Simple, Haye has been in one very very ulgy fight, Wlad has been in so many booooooring ass fight in recent years, its not even in the same league.

Because your contention that a fighter should be disqualified for avoiding his opponents shots and landing more accurate, harder and higher quality shots himself is ridiculous.

I'm not slanting him for not taking punches, it's the running I can't stand. There's moving and there's running. One includes throwing punches, the other does not. Show me another title fight in history where the winner threw only 140 punches.

To be honest I'm not all that obsessed with punch stats, so can't help you there.

This is what makes me laugh when people pour scorn on Haye becoming Heavyweight champion of the world. Did you expect Haye to just stand and trade?

Actually I think he did a good job of not taking much and dishing out a few of his own. He made Valuev's legs do a funny dance and all this with a hand that was reportedly damaged from as early as the second.

Haye did what he set out to do, and that was win the title. He has been exciting his whole career so we can allow him a fight where he has to completely change his approach. He made Valuev look clumsly and one dimensional and for a man who is supposedly chinny, with no experience and who is nothing but talk, he sure did a good job of not being blown away.

Lets not forget that Valuev didn't exactly cover himself in glory either. He was terrible, but I fail to see continuous sarcastic comments about him?

    Not this **** again :patsch

Is there nothing between standing and trading and running and throwing 140 punches?

Thank god it unbroke in the twelfth round, otherwise that round would have been as shitty as the eleven preceding it.

If that was what he set out to do, he should not have opened his annoying ****hole in the many months prior to the fight, about how he'd knock everyone out and being the saviour of the division. Had Haye been a humble character I'd cut him a bit of slack. Not much though, because no matter how you look at it, throwing less than half the punches Kevin Johnson did against Vitali is a downright disgrace.

You don't? Try reading the thread, there's plenty of them.

Haye at Heavy is complete ****? Really? Even though he's won a tiltle in his 3rd fight at the weight and beat the biggest, heaviest World Champ in history coming up from Cruiserweight who had only lost once in 51/52 fights. And barely took a punch whilst he was at it. Yeah hes well **** :rofl

Lets also not forget most non Haye fans said Haye would get knocked out :deal

Your such a clueless fool if you thought he would just stand toe to toe against a guy with such a massive physical advantage over him.

His game plan was perfect apart from very limitied right hands due to the broken hand, a point you just completely ignore. If Wlad had of done that with a broken hand, no doubt you would view it as a masterclass.

Im not even going to argue your last point beacause you've made a tit of yourself all on your own with that

    Wow!

What a detailed repsonse that has been meerly glanced at - why? Because as you so rightly said "not this **** again".

You seem to make the mistake of claiming that I think this was a good fight, as you have done with your previous posts. Haye sold the fight well and got under people's skin, including yours by the looks of things. :smoke

Oh, and there are far more threads / posts bashing Haye than Valuev my friend. :deal

Haye vs. Vitali is all wrong. VK should let his brother face 'em. Haye would expose VK's lack of speed and boxing IQ. This fight between VK vs. Haye would like Kevin Johnson vs. VK, but, this time KJ has an offense arsenal.
