Why do people Hate the Klitschko Bros so much?

People get put off on the Klitschko's because of their fans. Not all of them, mind you. Just the rabid ones.

Both Wlad and Vitali are fine people in the real world. Both are generous and educated. Neither are thugs.

 

They are hated essentially because it's so unPC to like two white, well spoken, polite, large, skilled and supremely effective boxers who also just happen to be brothers who share the most coveted titles not only in boxing, but in all sports.

 

Boring, ugly styles.
Corny, delusional fans.

I don't think people hate them I just think people are mad they aren't American and the fact that they lack competition so their fights are one-sided and predictable.

 

I think that this is somewhat of an unfair and in many ways, ignorant statement.

 

Nobody hates them, there's just a rabid portion of their fan base who insist they're the best fighters ever and that nobody could ever beat them-including those who already have. Some posters on here just meet fire with fire and go a bit over the top in their criticism.
They're both good fighters, they just don't have any top names on their records so don't really deserve the level of praise some people give them. There are a few on this site who definitely have a white-power agenda.

 

if it looks like a DWEEB, talks like a DWEEB, acts like a DWEEB, boxes like a DWEEB, and stares during the prefight instructions like a DWEEB, then it's a DWEEB. having a DWEEB as a hw champ is as bad as having one who drinks tea with his pinkie extended. getting stuck with a pair of DORKS like this doubles the trouble.

because they dont have an exciting style or personality to make them interesting. i respect their skills and with their natural advantages i see them as a THREAT(not a certain victory like many fools seem to believe) to most fighters h2h but they are certainly given to much credit for these exact traits

 

Along with several other responses, I tend to like these two from Janitor and Mightyd40 below.

 

They have my respect, and I have even enjoyed some of their fights. They have done the best with what is available.

But they are overrated and not among my favorite boxers. They use their size as a crutch, and lack technique. I'm not a fan of cautious fighters, and I don't like pawing, defensive jabbing. They also have a limited skillset of punches.

I enjoy aggression, killer instinct, bobbing, weaving, dancing, counterpunching, uppercuts.... The Klits are not these things.

 

I'm sure it's partly because they won't fight each other, thereby depriving us of the only truly meaningful fight in the division.
