As you will probably all agree Vasyl Lomachenko was the standout boxer at the Olympics and won the 09 amateurs to top that off!!! The guy is only 21 and would go all the way in the paid ranks in my opinion! Somebody needs to make this guy an offer he cant refuse!

He and Pacman are probably the two best fighters on our globe-p4p-at present.

I guess any fight aficionado out there is impatiently waiting to see Lomachenko turn pro:D

His flashy and spectacular style is made for the pros. He masterfully dominates his weight division at the amateurs.

What an outstanding fighter he is!!

Would love to see him turn pro in europe! Rigondeaux fights out of the USA,and so does Gamboa.
One diamond must be admired here in europe!!!

Lomachenko is an overrated, overprotected cherry picking eurobum with a padded record. He's a knockout waiting to happen, an All Time Glass to get shattered, a C level fighter at most 'fighting' shot old men. He's not even ranked at boxrec LMFAO LOL :rofl.

Oh, did I miss any of the ESB ten commandments?

Nah, he's really a once in a generation talent and a great kid, I love his attitude. As much as it hurts us waiting for him to turn pro, I'm actually glad he's making the calls. No need to rush things and I'm pretty sure the great Ukranian will turn pro at some point to showcase his skills to the fans of prizefighting, the sooner the luckier WE are. But hey, it's his career... If he does turn pro, I'd personally put him in an experienced professional gym like the Wild Card, it's the small things of the pro game these super talents have to learn and I'm usually skeptical when they turn pro with their amateur trainer. Don't think any of the famed European coaches would match his style either, a crowded gym with a "natural born pro trainer" would be the best combo IMO.

I just can't believe that I've heard 2 people say that this kid is the 'worlds BEST boxer' and I've never so much as heard his name here or elsewhere. Amazing. "The one true knowledge and wisdom comes from knowing that you know nothing." -- Socrates

:good:good:good that's very intersting. Can't wait to hear more on the guy. Truly looks talented. And sure takes a little different approach then MONEY Mayweather.

Will keep my eyes open for sure!!

I would recommend Lomachenko to sign a contract with an American promoter in the USA -with an American coach in his corner.
I for sure would like to watch him live here in europe, but his style is made for the American market.
Germany and the UK are the two big european player.
German coaches are very defensive minded and tend to teach their boys the art of defence.Lomachenko's style is flashy, spectacular, and risky.
    German coaches+Lomachenko's style=clash of cultures.
The UK isnt really interested in promoting big international events.Lomachenko is a potential superstar. The UK is not the right pond for him.
    The Americans would love him!:good

<---- Vasyl in my av pic

First off there is a thread on him in the Euro forum that has info on him. He has had offers from American, German, and Russian promoters to turn pro but it look like he'll stay amateur till after 2012 games. He'll still only be 24 yrs old in 2012 so he'll have lots of time.

Odo bold - i see where you're coming from but i wouldn't be enthusiastic about him taking an American trainer either. They tend not to mix well either and often times skilled Eurasian fighters fundementals, which is such a big part of their game, get neglected and they actually regress under Western trainers.

This is even more true when talking about a guy who has serious power, like Vasyl Lomachenko. Tszyu, Jirov type situation where they neglect their great boxing ability and and just rely on their KO power. I'd like to see him stick with Ukrainian trainers so his skills stay sharp.

Will be great to see a boxer who does not put money first, he loves boxing, let's hope it will stay that way. Really great talent.

:huhThe Ukraine is a poor country, but that doesnt mean that olympic gold medal winners earn peanuts there, farmboxer.

There are countries out there which pay their golden boys a million bucks for winning a gold medal at the olympic games.

I understand, but I feel that, at this point, money is not #1 for him, at least, I sure hope so. I do wish that he makes lots of money for all his hard work and talent, but today it is too much money for most boxers, just simply too much.

There are some-not many-fighters from the countries of the former soviet union I would have liked to see turn pro in the USA fighting for an American promoter with an American coach in their corner.
Denis Boytsov for example. He used to go out with blazing guns trying to decapitate his opponents as soon as possible. He is an aggressive fighter with murderous pop in his fists.
The German coaches didnt like his style. He is still very successful but the way he fights isnt the way he should fight at this stage of his careeer.
Lomachenko, too, belongs to this very small group of fighters from the countries of the former soviet union whose style isnt made for the GErman fight market and their top coaches.
He wont sign a contract with a Japanese promoter nor with a British promoter nor with a Russian promoter nor with the Klitschko brothers.
It will be either the states or Germany. His style is made for the American market IMO.

You are so correct about Boytsov! He is naturally heavy handed, could be a very exciting fighter who could become a huge star in boxing.

You say this as if you know 100%? How do you know that he wouldn't sign with the Klitschko's
