In fairness, I would love to see Kelly come back into form. He has had a tough ole' year and perhaps a victory over this chap will propel him into meaningful bouts.
A number of recent articles make it clear that George Peterson pissed Arum off really bad. We all know what happens when ya **** off The Bob Father! Pavlik/Williams is probably doomed. Arum is talking Sturm or Bute in March/April.
PPV for kelly v espino will hurt kelly`s fanbase. clearly a marking time fight, unless espino has a granite jaw, the fight will be over when kelly choses and i do not expect the fight to be anyway competitive, with espino in survival mode .
Kelly looked a little drained in the face. I don't think it will matter much come fight time. I said I wasn't going to order this fight, but I just might.
I'm somewhat concerned about whether Pavlik can make weight safely, considering he's a big boy and has only had a 5-week training camp to lose weight. Didn't he have to wear one of those sweat suits in training?
Ugh. I hope it's not Sturm. That will not quiet criticism of Kelly or really prove anything. That fight will be billed as "Guys who avoided Abraham," and although I don't believe that (in KP's case, anyway), it has a ring to it. Pavlik vs. Bute would be an outstanding fight. I've pretty much given up on Pavlik/Williams ever happening, but Bute would be a good way to exit 160, should he choose to do that.
yeah but there is always the unpleasant possibility Bute to beat the life out of him. I give him more chances against Williams.
