a perfect fight for briggs, he gets to fight a brawler that will suit him perfectly, and the guy has a padded 18-1 record, briggs will get to a big fight just like last time, without fighting a serious contender

In this case the opponent's record gives a misleading idea of his ability. Hill has fought his entire career in small clubs against "C" and "D" level opposition. Taking on Briggs is a big step upward for Hill.

Briggs -- even at his relatively late age and questionable conditioning -- is in a much higher league than Hill. Briggs should win without much difficulty.

KO byBRIGGS, I'm glad you and I share the same confidence. I don't know if you're someone I know/part of the team, But these guys haven't been around to see that Shannon can move a lot faster than the will believe once up against a real opponent. I would go through and quote just about every new post here but that's a waste of time so I'll just say this: Briggs is going to Bring that belt back. He is a true warrior, a giant beast that will crush all these POS heavy's we got strollin around the ring right now (No offense guys). In due time you all will learn to respect him and his ability as a Boxer. Until then,

    1) Lyakhovich - his biggest win is against Lamon Brewster , man, youre stretching if this is the big name you can pull out the hat
    2) Foreman was 48 god damn years old and Briggs ran from him for 12 rounds...and most everyone thought he LOST, not to mention that was 13 years ago
    3) Lewis- 12 YEARS ago and he got his ass kicked grade A style . Briggs had a good first round....thats about it

so tell me, what else has he done the last 13 years? :D

Shannon Briggs has no business fighting in anything scheduled more than 4 rounds until he starts doing some cardio, instead of only bodybuilding. The guy throws 6 punches a round, and is huffing and puffing. I know he blaims asthma but his stanima use to be way better, when he acctually trained and wasnt on steroids.

    Why are you yelling?

And I've seen Shannon sparing as fast as he can go. Herm has pushed him to the edge of insanity with speed and cardio training. All I can keep saying is wait and see. Wait and see.

    You shouldn't smoke.

Shannon Briggs is the type of fighter that talks about fighting everyone under the sun. But he don't stay in shape to fight a title fight. It this point his most dangerous weapon is his mouth. Actually there is nothing worse than trash talkers who don't back it up.
