>Luke O< I'm with you buddy! let's do it in Dallas! Vegas is cool, but Dallas will be huge! I'm sure Jerry Jones will be able to control the Texas Commmision and make sure they don't **** it up. Big Money talks these days. Even though I won't be there personally, watching the fight live PPV in HD will be awesome in a venue like Dallas. Ultimately its what the fighters agree to and are comfortable with, but in a fan perspective and preference; Dallas.
I think this will end up in dallas, jerry seems determined to bring this thing to dallas, he's a boxing fan and i honestly believe that 25 million dollar offer was just the beginning, I think he is willing to spend far more then that, and he will in the end
has anyone considered transport and accomodation for Dallas? 100,000 fans for the weekend. Is that feasible? Could Dallas supply that many rooms for the out of towners? And is local transport plentiful for the location? I'll be coming in from Scotland, but don't really relish pissing about in Dallas before and after the fight...so good and easy transport and accommodation is important for a quick and easy in and out.
Its very feasible. College stadiums every weekend fill that range all around the country. Believe it. My college stadium, Beaver Stadium seats 107,000+. Every football weekend, lol every damn home game. It fills and then the next day everyone's gone with just the drunks left.
Dallas is the peoples' option. Your every day guy hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell of getting tickets for the MGM. Half the ****ing place would be filled with freebie tickets to execs and celebs and the paltry amount left would still cost a king's ransom. Now a 100,000 seater. That is a real dream. Sure, you might need the help of a sherpa to reach the cheap seats up the back but there's always that massive screen and the atmosphere would be priceless compared to the typically dull Vegas fights.
Void will have to have his referee, his judges, his ring, his venue, etc., doubt if he will ever fight there.
On those terms, of course it's feasible to hold that many people. What makes it different for some people is that they would be travelling into Dallas and then have to find accomodation and transport to the stadium. This isn't some Friday Night football game people of Dallas and the visitors come and go to for a few hours and then go home - we're talking about tens of thousands of people from all over the country and the world visiting for a few days before the fight, and possibly a day after the fight. That's a huge difference. Can Dallas sort that part out? I know Vegas can. Easily.
Are you kidding? Dallas is one of the biggest, most modern cities in the U.S. Of course it can do all of that.
**** Vegas, i live here and id rather have it in Dallas, there's no stadium here in this **** town that can hold enough people:-(.. The MGM grand only holds 16 thousand, that aint' gonna cut it...:verysad
Im sure Dallas has plenty of cars, and taxis, and hotels for folks to sleep... And Restaurants and bars for people to eat and drink...
I will be coming from England... I have done Las Vegas plenty of times, in and out no danger... Everything where it needs to be for a good price...:yep Am I going to get digs and transport easy enough...?...:think Or better still, have the fight at Wembley Stadium, London, England...
