    :lol::lol::lol::lol::rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:patsch:patsch:patsch

Greene KO's the RJJ that Calzaghe fought in 1 round, and u say that that RJJ can beat Hopkins?

Calzaghe gets a controversial SD vs Hopkins
and gets a clear UD vs RJJ, and u say that the old RJJ beats Hopkins.

Hopkins is 43, RJJ is 40, if they fight no normal boxing fan will be calling Hopkins or RJJ a cherry picker, or accuse them of ducking

No, your saying just because he has losses now mean he's not a better win than a past prime Brewer or Reid or what ever you wanna say. At the end of the day, you cannot keep trying to big up Calzaghe's resume like its great or better than Bhops, because all though I'd love it to be, it is not.

This pretty much embodies what i said. It sounds & looks great, more so than it actually is in reality.

Jumping up in weight even though he was always a natural LHW

Tarver coming down from 220lbs after having bulked up for his role in the Rocky movie

Tarver is overrated by many to begin with.

I understand what you're trying to say aswell but i disagree. Hopkins hasn't fought on more of an "international stage" he simply has fought in the U.S. U.S doesn't equal international.

Their careers are also rather similar in regards to that, Hopkins fought Ameribums just like Calzaghe fought "Eurobums" Actually i'd say that Calzaghe fought alot more "internationally" than Hopkins did.

lol no, no it doesn't invalidate my claim, dumbass. Yes B-Hop is closer to the camera in the pic but it doesn't change the reality that they're the same size.

I have no problem if someone has a different opinion but with this, there is no debate, it's not opinion it's fact. Tarver is about 1" taller and their frames are the same size.

If you're claiming that Tarver is a bigger man that Hopkins then you're wrong.

Joe Calzaghe is a better fighter than Hopkins, and although he beat him when both were past their primes I think he beats him at any stage H2H.

Calzaghes best win came against Kessler, who just got his ass against Ward. Jeff Lacy, C'mon. I understand you like the guy, but it gets to a point where I cant give credit to a guy who slaps and has no power. Calzaghe would make a fantastic ameatur. :good
Why would Calzaghe give Hopkins a rematch? To prove that he's the Champion that you think he is. :think

 Tell me about it. The whole things is chock-full of useless factoids that display nothing more than a complete lack of objectivity.

Embarrassing how the announcer says `steps up to the LHW division to do what his idol Sugar Ray Robinson TRIED to do & win the LHW title`

As if Hopkins is accomplishing something that `his idol` couldnt :patsch
Hopkins weighed 174 vs Tarver, Robinson weighed 157 vs Maxim.

Hopkins started as a fkn LHW, SRR started as a WW & had to go 15 rds... Hopkins is not in Robinson`s league, not even close no matter how you cut it.

Eubanks last 2 fights were 2 divisions higher against a world champ, thats how shot he was, losing closely 1st time and having to retire with an injury when ahead a 2nd time
Brewer didnt knock Joe down(you might be thinking of Mitchell who got blown away in the same round)
Reid got beat by Malinga in a poor showing who got beat by Woodhall, who Calzaghe beat
Lacy the bookies fave, who was good enough for Taylor to fight afterwards
Bika was winning a fight that got declared a no contest against then WBC champ Beyer who has beaten an undefeated Green
Kessler had beaten Mundine and Beyer, better fighters than Andrade
Hopkins beaten, why the rematch it was awful on the eye
Jones good enough for Hopkins recently where Hopkins said the fight could still happen after his Green loss

Tarver I said had been outboxed, I didnt say Johnson outboxed him. It was a good win but not as good as your making out.
Johnson good fighter but hadnt fought at the level of Hopkins and got beaten but has also been beaten by lesser people
Holmes had been KOd prior (and not in good class) to Hopkins unlike say Reid.
    Pavlik 2 divisions lighter.
    You answered the rest

    Hopkins career started at LHW.
Thornberry wasnt a great fighter, but he did go on to contest again, when alot of the nobodies on Hopkins record didnt go on to contest in the same division again

I don't think this thread was intended to debate who was greater, but more to highlight the fact that Calzaghe gets way too much hate. It seems like everyday theres another Calzaghe basher posting crap on these forums, making uneducated remarks about the legacy of Joe, along with their unwanted, bias bloody opinion.

This thread now has people debating over who was the best between the 2 fighters, one of whom is american and is given full credit for his record, the other being a non-american and is slated day in day out for bull**** reasons. Doesn't this say it all? The fact that this is a balanced debate over who was the better fighter is evidence enough to suggest that those who slate Joe yet praise hopkins are nothing more than biased, sour idiots who love nothing more then to voice their unwanted, ignorant opinion.

Put it this way, if Calzaghe had 1 loss to his record, would he recieve so much as half the **** he gets on these forums? If hopkins took that close decision, people would be praising Calzaghe for taking on the best and losing, yet because he won, people are sour enough to constantly attempt to feebly defemate his name.

Here's a tip, grow up and get a ******* clue before anyone decides to start slating Joe.

I'm not a huge Calzaghe fan boy, and I think Hopkins is a fantastic fighter. Just fed up of all the racist shite the minority of ignorant people post. Your opinion aint worth **** if you aren't being objective.
