01 Fedor Emelianenko 02 Georges St Pierre 03 Bj Penn 04 Anderson Silva 05 Chuck Liddell 06 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 07 Kazushi Sakuraba 08 Randy Couture 09 Tito Ortiz 10 Wanderlei Silva 11 Bas Rutten 12 Frank Shamrock 13 Matt Hughes 14 Quinton Jackson 15 Dan Henderson If you're talking about skill vs. impact/influence
Erm Not being funny here, BJ Penn is the p4p #1 or #2 in MMA history, only Fedor could you argue comes close because he's beaten fighters at a bigger size than him. People rankings Anderson and GSP higher than him, what fighters of much bigger size have they beaten? Seeing as p4p means if the fighters were same size who would win? IMO if the top fighters (fedor, spider, gsp, penn) were the same size Penn would be the #1
No offense man, but this list is garbage. You have Henderson, Sakuraba, Hughes, St. Pierre, F. Shamrock ext. above Bas Rutten? You know Rutten destroyed F. Shamrock right?
Is this based on ability because Rickson should be over Royce.... Sakuraba, Nogueira & Penn should be way higher up the list too. No1 is correct.
Difficult to do but here`s mine...... Fedor Emelianenko Kazushi Sakuraba BJ Penn Wanderlei Silva Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira Shogun Rua Anderson Silva Randy Couture Chuck Liddell Georges St Pierre Frank Shamrock Matt Hughes Rampage Jackson Dan Henderson Tito Ortiz Vitor Belfort Rickson Gracie (would be much higher if he left Brazil earlier IMHO, had his best yrs in Brazil) Renzo Gracie Pat Militech Mark Coleman :good
Shamrock wasnt half the fighter he would become when that happened tho + Frank still managed a win over a seasoned Rutten in his FIRST NHB fight. Frank Shamrock of the UFC is one of the most complete & athletic fighters to ever grace the game, he should have kept going then instead of retiring, he could have easily been top 5. Sakuraba is streets ahead of Rutten p4p at their best, c`mon man :-(
Are you serious man? Sakuraba? He got his head knocked off 3 times vs. Silva, there is no way he would survive a round with Bas Rutten. Sakuraba was a punching bag. His claim to fame was beating a injured Royce Gracie?
Couture can't go that high. Too many losses me thinks. Hughes cannot be above GSP. BJ should be higher because he is dominating 155 now and was a quality 2 weight fighter despite fighting the 2 best 170s ever while being out of shape. Nog should be higher. He's only lost to Fedor who is the best ever. He's got a win over his victors other than Mir. The Mir loss is still to be decided. Was he ready to fight, was he shot, did he just lose etc
1 Fedor Emelianenko 2 Georges St Pierre 3 Anderson Silva 4 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 5 Chuck Liddell 6 BJ Penn 7 Wanderlei Silva 8 Randy Couture 9 Matt Hughes 10 Shogun Rua 11 Dan Henderson 12 Kazushi Sakuraba 13 Frank Shamrock 14 Lyoto Machida 15 Quinton Jackson 16 Tito Ortiz 17 Bas Rutten 18 Royce Gracie 19 Mark Coleman 20 Mirko Cro Cop
EXACTLY!! Any list which omits The Colossus cannot be seriously considered (BTW I hear JT is a great guy and a gent, so no dis James).
man i wish this thread was made before kimbo lost lmao the gobs of people who'd be ranking him right now!
